The end of the conman, Audley Harrison.

Post by Syntax Error »

The end is definitely nigh for Mr Audley Harrison.

Yes he was sparked out by a single punch that can happen to any fighter, but the signs were there just before it happened.

Sprott's tactics were perfect (apart the flash knockdown); keeping his hands up & attacking Audley up close & roughing him up.

Harrison is the archetypal bully, very good when his opponents are weak, but does not like it when the going gets tough.

He was beginning to wilt just before he was KO'd.

His stamina remains well below par & his fighting heart is practically non-existent! :o

I have to apologise profusely to Mr Sprott for actually believing that someone as average as Audley Harrison would knock him out.

Audley just needs to go & hide away in Las Vegas & spend all that money he has conned out of fight fans over the years.

He will not be missed by me, one iota.

World champion by 2007.....unified heavyweight champ by 2008. Audley needs to see a psychiatrist next not a fellow fighter.

The funniest thing was Audley's interview after the fight when he said that he felt OK and thought he could continue, but the refereee didn't want him to continue .................. Get real Audley, you were knocked spark out! :TU:

I understand the criticisms of Audley and am not a fan, but to be fair to him, despite the fact he is slow and not up there with the very best of heavyweight boxing, I think he is still a better boxer than the rest of the best of Britain. I always felt that if he could get extremelly fit he is a better prospect than Skelton and Williams. His last fight with Williams undoubtedly showed more enthusiasm by Audley and a greater workrate (although still not sufficient). And I feel that he carried that attitude into last nights fight. It was clearly a crazy and non-sensical decision to start fighting on the inside last ngith when he was clearly in control in rounds one and two. I feel a little sympathy for him that he got knocked sparked out and will be now fully written off, depsite the fact he was bosing better than in previous fights and knocked Sprott down in the first. Despite not being a fan I would still advise Audley to carry on for the simple fact that he lost threw a one punch knockout i.e. he didnt get out boxed. Yes there are many criticims to be made of him, but in relative terms I think he could easily beat Sprott on another night and has already proved himself better than Williams.

His career simply seems doomed, partially due to his own mistakes and now because of that knockout punch last night.

He had all the chances and still he did not deliver.

Sure he had some ingredients needed to get to the top...but he also lacked some also...those he lacked were much more important.

Dennis Andries lacked alot of what Audley had in abundance...but Audley lacked almost everything what took Dennis to the top.

I did not like the thoat cutting jesture to Sprott...summed up Audley perfectly...and the ending could not have finished better :TU:

We also found out that Audley doesn't have a good chin.

Sprott is a small heavyweight and is hardly a Tyson when it comes o knockout specialists

That made the fact that he looked terrified everytime Sprott bulldozed him all the more laughable.

Yes, once Audley realised that Sprott wasn't going anywhere fast, despite the flash knockdown, a look of sheer horror began to cross Audley's face. Sprott simply kept his guard up, then bumrushed Audley as soon as he stopped punching.

Audley should be glad he has been exposed, because I shudder to think what the likes of Wlad Klitchsko would have done to him, it would have been an unholy massacre.

I don't think Audley should be let near Klitschko to play chess even... the wind from moving the initial pawn would KO him.

CHrist lets imagine even what Brian Minto would have done to him...
