the first fight i ever went to see was John Westgarth v/s Dave Garside, it was held at the Mayfair in Newcastle back in 1986 and was their 3rd meeting. the fight was an eliminator for the british title. I have never seen the fight since i saw it back in 1986.
I met a few faces that night including James Oyebola, he was a massive guy and was regarded as a good fighter, how ever he was beaten by Scott Welch and julious Francis and dissappeared.
anyway, was the above televised does anyone know and hasanyone seen the fight. also Oyebola, any televised of him too.
