Guerrero Regains IBF Featherweight Title

Post by steve689 »

So it seems Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero regained his IBF belt that he lost previously to Orlando Salido last night by stopping Spend Abazi in 9 rounds. The match was in Denmark and Guerrero led by scores of 72-78, 71-79 & 73-77 at the time of the stoppage so it seems he was well in command.

How long can he hold on to it this time? After being outfoxed by Salido there is a big question mark against him in my eyes.

Also on this card Reda Zam Zam won over 8 against tough Maxim Nesterenko, when will Zam Zam step up in class? And Cruisers Anders Hugger and Johnny Jensen both won in sixes.

Any thoughts?

Harsh on Salido after his B sample tested negative. He should be champion.

It wasnt the B sample that was negative. The test that was negative was one that Salido's people paid for themselves.

Oh, sorry stand corrected. I did read though that the IBF were considering re-instating him as champion.

If Salido's win wasn't turned Into a no count then why did they strip him? Saildo's fight with Guerrero Is still a win.

Yea you're right Max, they didn't overturn the result of Guerrero/Salido so strange that IBF stripped him, remember tho they stripped real champ Marquez in the first place, I guess IBF like to strip their champs. :TU:
Orlando's 2nd test at LabCorp was made public I thought. Also Viloria/Nino result hasn't been changed after Nino was stripped for testing positive too, probably just a case of Boxrec not updating records? Castillejo/Carrera shows as WDQ. Lot's of drug cheats as of late!

Nice collection Freiheit :TU:
