The Harry Greb book??

Post by tonyevs »

Whatever happened to the new book being written on the Great Harry Greb?

I remember a person on this forum that seemed to be a self proclaimed expert on Greb, who was about to release a best ever book on Harry Greb....has it been released??

I very much doubt he's even started on a book... he supposedly had publishers lined up... they must be extremely patient!...

There has been a lot of expectation about the book as Compton stated that it was going to be the greatest book ever written on Greb whereas he stated many times that the other books about Greb were nothing but poorly-researched bullshit. He dissed and downed a lot of writers so if it ever does get published then it had better dazzle as he offended a lot of people. I know that Compton was dealing with some personal issues during the past couple of years which no doubt has played a part in the continued delay of writing the book...which that is very understandable and should be respected, but he had been pimping the book for something like five years now that I know of.

Greb book

Post by klompton »

Its is a very big book and it is still in the works. With projects like this life sometimes gets in the way. In the past year and a half I have experienced the birth of my first child, divorce, changed jobs three times, and almost died in a car accident among other things. Rest assured that when completed it will be a faithful telling of Greb's life and legend. It will be over 500 hundred pages with several hundred photos. I am self publishing so whoever said I had a publisher lined up was wrong, I have planned to self publish since day one.

I've just finished reading Give Him To The Angels. I quite enjoyed it but is seemed to miss out on so much of his career and with respect did make Greb out to be a mixture of Superman/The Terminater and King Dong.
