CHRIS P BACON - Moved to 13-2 yesterday and became the Central Area Cruiser-weight Champion in the process of stopping Tony Moran in the 7th round of what was a sensational fight. A massive crowd filled the local leisure centre and the well supported Bacon did his best to keep them happy by forcing the fight from the first bell.Chris looked tired in the first few rounds and was dropped twice by counter punches in his over eagerness to land his own , he did recover well and eventually wore Moran down in the 7th dropping him before the ref jumped in.
ALEX MATTVIENKO - Moved to 6-0 in a thrilling contest with Shaun Falmer and it is no wonder he shifted over 200 tickets when he has fights like this .Boxing punters do not want to miss the 'you hit me and I will hit you' style of Alex and he did not let them down with a barrage of punches thrown including quality uppercuts which continuously hit the target ,but they could not force a stoppage of the tough Falmer.
ROBIN WHITE - The Farnworth Light Heavyweight dominated the fight against Nicky Taylor and moved to 2-0 in his Pro career which is already starting to look promising. The stocky Taylor kept marching forward swinging but Robin used his height and reach advantage very well picking scoring shots that won him every round.
DANNY HARDING - Moved to 5-0 with a win over Birmingham journeyman Jason Nesbitt who always puts up a fight. Danny kept tight and worked hard picking his punches well and earned the win . Planned to be out again early March at Tara in Shaw and then muted for a rematch with Chris Pacey to confirm his first win was not a fluke.
NIGEL TRAVIS - Had to fight an exhibition with Martin Marshall - who had come down from Sunderland to support Shaun Falmer - when his opponent Dean Walker failed to show ???.
BRIAN ROSE - The VIP guest from Blackpool looked sharp and outboxed Ernie Smith using a fast and accurate jab .
