Boxing collectors and researchers,
I am hurried to verify information related to Yvon Durelle world ratings in the Light-heavyweight division for the year of 1957. These ratings were mainly found in Nat Fleischer's Ring Magazine, Eddie Borden's Boxing Weekly World and Boxing Illustrated. Since October 1999, when I started researching Durelle and buying related memorabilia's, I have collected many magazines, regretfully, I don't have full issues for that year. For facts, we know that Yvon Durelle was listed 10th, 3rd and 2nd in 1957. Respectively, Yvon Durelle win against Angelo Defendis in March 1957 was good for 10th place; Durelle draw against Tony Anthony in June 1957 (Tony was ranked 2nd at the time) was good for 3rd; meanwhile in September 1957, Tony Anthony lost against Archie Moore for World title fight, thus bringing Yvon Durelle to 2nd place behind Harold Johnson, who was first in the ranking. I need to verify this information the whole year of 1957 with the magazines. In this respect, would it be possible that you could help me determine the exactitude of this information? Do you any have full yearly issues of the above magazines for 1957?

this won't give you the full information you need, but just in case it might help a little:
the last issue of the ring record book..covering fights through 1980 has the annual ratings of fighters for each year up to that. I assume by annual they mean the ratings that came each year in their year's summation.
For 1957 Archie Moore is champion, harold johnson no.1, yolande pompey no.2 and yvon durelle no.3. tony anthony is no.4
