Robin Reid vs Jesse Brinkley 30th March according to Boxrec.

Reid should win this with ease unless he is completely finished.

Reid vs Brinkley may be as thrilling a fight as Calzaghe vs Manfredo. It's funny how the Contenders invade UK

Reid vs. Froch would be too risky for Reid right now. Cannot blame Reid for copying Calzaghe. When that is being said I hope the best for Reid. Next in line for Reid could be some german who he could smash up, which would be nice. Häussler, Stiegliz, Veit, Brähmer, Beyer hell Reid would beat them all. Then next for Reid could be Mads Larsen.

Reid hasn't fought for nearly too years and you think he should of taken the Froch offer?

Reid Pre Ottke - Magee would of done a number on Froch, but Inactive he wouldn't.

Plus would you want to hear Froch's mouth afterwards?

I agree, Reid is in no kind of shape to be fighting Froch, he looks pretty bad physically, well at least compared to how he used to look, and isn't in the gym regularly if he's not fighting.

I think Reid is done now. The Ottke fight was his last Hurrah, and he did bloody well and should have got it in my opinion, but he looked terrible, really terrible against Lacy, all the timing was gone, the movement, even his punchpower and chin let him down.

He thought Reid beat Calzaghe too so I could Imagine him saying I did what Calzaghe couldn't.

Looks like he already had his speech planned.

I had Reid losing by 2 rds to Calzaghe, which became 3 after the point deduction. Between the overcautious start and the point taken off him for fouling, I don't see a great case for Reid beating Calzaghe despite his mid fight success.

Brinkley was beating Spina before getting hurt by a body shot, he did a Corrales to buy some time but got stopped for the first time. So I'd say Reid should goto the body. Good comeback fight for Reid.

If he beats Brinkly and maybe if he doesn't, he will be the next Mandatory for Froch in any case and with FW in his corner it will gernerate more money for him and maybe get the fight on ITV.

Good business move by Reid IMO.

Possibly, but at Reid's stage of the game, a win over Brinkley is no forgone, and I don't see Froch being interested in a fight with him if he loses, mandatory or no mandatory.

Reid at 35/36 has a lot to prove on his remaining ability and beyond that his desire.

He looked awful winning versus Magee.

He looked like a guy off the street versus Lacy.

Poor prep, poor motivation and declining reflex and timing.

Reid has a lot to prove here.

I wouldn't with any great conviction back the Reid that turned up against Lacy to beat any of those names to be honest. He always prided himself on a great chin and stellar physique both of which are now questionable. What alarms me is that Reid's workrate was never any good even in his peak years, what would it be like now?
