I thought that was the reason Cameron was on the show.

Anybody have a logical explanation as to why an Irish-Kiwi and a Croatian-Aussie are fighting in Sydney for an AFRICAN championship?

A network did as half way through the show the commentators welcomed NZ viewers.

It was for the WBA Pan African title.
Same as an Aussie, Kiwi, Thai, Filipino etc can fight for WBA Fedelatin title.

Sanction $$$ is sanction $$$ and title governing bodies just love $$$

Rumour has it, most principals in title governing bodies were at some stage used car salesman...some still are. :D :D

Yeh never really understood why WBA Pan African titles are contested by mostly kiwis and aussies.

Only a few africans hold them, mainly sth africa at that.

Its the same feeling that comes to mind with any "Australasian" belt, or ANY belt given out by the WBF. hahaha

Yeah i agree with that, Cameron Vs Meehan would be a great fight, After watching Cameron handle Mirovic easliy with one hand i'd favor him over Meehan who hasn't got the best chin.

Of course, but I just wondered if the WBA could offer even a token half-arsed explanation as to how they came about it. I suppose they'll say Africa is the cradle of mankind, so everybody's eligible. Better than Timur Ibragimov holding a CARIBBEAN belt a few years ago, anyway! Maybe because he went on holiday there once.

Ever thaught about themost sanctioning bodies etc are interested in money...........soon we'll have kiwi fighters being Australian champions and aussie fighters being kiwi champs.............if the right people pay enough

At least they're from the same continent as each other, not AFRICA.

Meehans chin couldn't be all that bad - anyone see the two big rights he took from Danny Williams?.....he got up from both and wanted to (and could of ) continued on..though by taking those shots his "goose was cooked".

The only other person to hurt Kali was Hasim Rahman (I've heard of him from somewhere) while underprepared (read: injured and should not have been fighting, he did, his choice / mistake) but Rahman unloaded for 4 rounds and Kali was still standing......Lennox did not (and no I'm not comparing Kali to Lennox.....Meehans heaps better ..just joking)
