Ricky Hatton and Multiple Titles

Excluding WBO titles, is Ricky Hatton the only British fighter ever to win world titles (IBF & WBA Jr Welter and WBA Welter) in 2 separate divisions?
Bob Fitzsimmons won in 3 divisions, if you count him as British, but I cant think of any other British fighter to do this.
Benn, Eubank and McKenzie won titles in more than one division, but mostly these were WBO which was quite discredited in the 90s.

Not sure about the 'big 3' but Duke Mkenzie won 3 world titles in 3 divisions (2 WBO and 1 IBF). Benn 2 (1 WBC and 1 WBO), Eubank 2 (2 WBOs). I wouldn't put those achievements below Hattons as he jumped on the weakest belt holders the last 3 times out (of all 4 belts).

It was more important to hold onto and defend a WBU title. Seeing as though it has a W in it, did you all have those Mancs fooled, thinking maybe they might be too drunk to know it's a fringe title?

Hoho! Yes, we all know how desperate Calzaghe was to hold onto his IBF when it meant taking on mandatories more than once every three years.

I think maybe the WBO are based in Neptune, it would explain wny their yearly mandatory defences only come around once every few years, what with the longer Neptunian year.

Why did Hatton end up fighting Urango for the IBO title as well though? Why not giveup that belt as not many care about that belt and he's only wasting sanction fee money defending It.

At least with his ring belt he's not paying to defend It.

As for Calzaghe was this before Clinton was IBF champ? If so then I think It was boxing monthly where It said that the IBF refused It as an eliminator for the IBF No 1 spot.

If Glen Johnson could hit Woods with slow straights while going urrrgh, then Imagine what Calzaghe would do to Woods!

Max, why is the IBO belt any worse than the other belts. Many promoters and boxers regard the IBO belt high because of the fairness of that organisation. All I ever see on this forum is how bad the IBF are for stripping, how bad the WBO are for allowing shite fights, how bad the WBA are for super champions and how bad the WBC are for have interim champions. With the IBO for some reason, its inferior but nobody can justify why its shit other than its 'not recognised'. In many parts of the world the IBO is a premier title, In Japan the IBF is not recogonised, in the UK a WBA or WBC fight is rare, the UK puts up with WBO titles do you think these are better fights than IBO. Maccarinelli is fighting Bobby Gunn, check out his stats. Lennox Lewis said the IBO belt was 'best belt' and both the klitsko's think the same.
