A former champion boxer has pleaded guilty to assaulting a teenager.

Jason Cook, ex-IBO and European lightweight champion, changed his plea at Cardiff Crown Court after new CCTV evidence came to light.

Cook, 32, of Oakwood Estate, Maesteg, will be sentenced next month for actual bodily harm on Scott Evans outside the Fluid nightclub. He was charged with Matthew Davies, 24, of Lloyd Street, Caerau, who pleaded guilty to the offence last month and was given a year's jail term, suspended for two years.

Cook was given conditional bail while a pre-sentence report is prepared.

He already has previous which won't help his cause, i'm sure he will be looking at another spell of bird.
