Soloman Haumono

Post by woe31 »

Was anyone else impressed with him on the Mundine/Soliman undercard? I hadn't had an opportunity to see him before Wednesday night, but thought he looked light years ahead of Hopoate despite not having had a pro fight for nearly 5 years. If he stays busy, he could make some real noise on the Australian heavyweight scene I would think.

If he sticks with it he has definite potential. The fact Johnny Lewis is training him is testament to that. He once again showed great power along with a bit of ability (even though his opponent was a joke).

I was very impressed with what I saw of him. He could go very well as a Heavy in the Australian scene.

Haumono has a fight comming up with 2-1-0 Joey Wilson from New Zealand. Wilson is a big guy 6'7" and 120kgs. He can move for a big guy too! Wilson is miles ahead of the guy he fought the other night will be a good test

Khoder Nasser has been in contact with Colin Wilson's Management a few times, He asked if Colin would be interested in fighting "Solo"... Col's Manager/Brother Blair replyed "Solo Who? Never heard of him!" when told Haumono he asked if Nasser was serious and if he felt ok then accepted for a date in August. lets just hope Nasser comes through with a contract.....

Do you think Col would train for this fight? I don't think it would matter anyway... Solo would smash anyone who has lost to Mirovic!!! :x

Would it be for the Aussie Title?

Big step up for Solo. Would love to see him tested a little before fighting an experienced guy like Colin Wilson.

In most other things Solo has done he tends to quit when it starts getting a little bit too hard. It's a shame because he has plenty of potential and I think that he is infinitly more talented then Wilson, but unfortunately that doesn't mean he'll win.

This will be an interesting fight.

As I mentioned above. If Mirovic can beat a bloke four times, Solo shouldn't have any problem...

I should also had that I wouldn't hold my breath about this fight actually being made.

I won't hold my breath for the August date, but I can see this fight happening at some stage so long as Solo doesn't get bored with boxing again
