Comiserations to Gammer, but he can come back if he's prepared to work hard and improve all areas of his game. He had the misfortune to bump into Danny in his best form since losing to Klitshcko, BUT Scott's now got a much better idea of what it takes to succeed and how tough it is.

Back to the man of the moment, and I'm of the same thinking as those who'd like to see Danny bow out as British champion and notching up an excellent victory. He's beaten every one out there on the British scene, even when not at his best.

For my money, he's the best British heavy since Lennox Lewis. I hope he goes out on a positive note, but I wish him the best whatever he decides.

Who the f#cks this numpty bringing up all this sh#t about Danny and Kevin McBride?

Don King tried steer McBride into world title shots against his two shitty beltholders (unlike Danny who fought THE MAN) but he & his team kept overpricing themselves until McBride predictably got easily chinned by a limited clubfighter.

McBride hasn't competed over here in a decade or so and never did compete on our scene anyway, why would he now? The guy was iced by Michael Murray FFS.

The Tyson who fought Williams would have bludgeoned Mcbride in 1. Tyson by that point 9June 05) really just did not give a shit anymore, and it was strictly money.

I think Danny should call it a day now. He's achieved all he is going to in boxing and will never win a world title. I cant see the point in him hanging around to fight domestic level opponents. Thanks for some great memories Danny, but call it a day on a high note.

Good time for Danny to bow out, he's not going to get any further than he's got.

I guess a fighter with Audley or Skelton could be a possibility, but I think any ambitions of a world title shot should have cold water poured on them. Despite this win, Danny's been through a lot in the ring, and I think will get hurt if he continues. It's not like Gammer didn't hit him, he just lacked the power to hurt him much.

Well I'm usually one to tell fighters to give it up but I really think that if Danny can make such an improvement in just 3 months then theres still more to come... if he can keep the discipline then he's still got a shot... I think he;s still sound physically and the weight was more of a problem in recent fights than wear and tear.... he should go for Virches and the Euro title... if he gets that then a shot against Biggs or Maskayev isnt beyond the realms of possibility.... I do think he should steer clear of the Klitchenko brothers though...

Firstly no offense Irish but I think you need to look up the correct meanings of the terms Britain, Ireland, UK and Commonwealth before you start using them.

Secondly William's record is far better than McBride's. Thirdly the reason McBride didn't get a title shot after beating Tyson is that Tyson had just lost to Williams, before fighting Williams nobody realized how shot Tyson was.

By the time Tyson lost to McBride everyone had seen him lose to Williams and then Williams get pulped by Vitali, ergo beating Tyson nolonger equalled title shot. If McBride had beaten Tyson first I'm sure he'd have got a shot at Vitali instead.

Williams didn't really deserve the fight with Vitali after beating Tyson, but to give McBride a similar fight would have been farcical

At first I thought oh shit he's talking about Vladimir Klitschko but it says Danny has been offered a shot at EBU champ Virchis and will very likely take it, in Germany.
