Hopoate VS Mailata

Post by N2 Shape »

Seiaute Mailata is making his comeback on the 24th of March, He is listed to fight Hoppa next month but he cant leave NZ until his Visa here clears. But he said he wants to fight him, he heard them mention his name on the Mundine card after Hoppa's fight. Mailata told me he'd be happy to knock Hoppa out!

Can't say that I know too much about him to be honest. I see that he's been in against some decent names, but usually at lower weights and can crack (7 ko's from 7 wins). What can you tell us about him that's not obvious from looking at his record?

Hopoate needs to fight Heavyweights who can fight back and actually test him, He is an old fighter and hasn't got time to fight Blown up 168 pounders.
He took a step up a little by fighting Tutaki and fighting Mailata would be a step back in my opinion. I want to see him in with Briggs, Izonritei or Wilson at least then we can see how good he really is

Hoppa needs a good 6 months of training. He shouldn't concentrate on fighting anyone at the moment. He must learn some of the basics, and improve his fitness. He was gone after 2 rounds in his last fight.

Not sure i've ever said this before buy fully agree with jaffar on this one

This is the 1st time I have seen Hoppa fight and if thats the improved Hoppa then he must have been #$%^ing ordanary to start with. The fighter he fought was very ordanary also. If anyfighter can last into the 3rd round they will knock Hoppa on his arse. Where has him improved? Are his big swinging hay makers better than they used to be??? Because i hope no one tells me his fitness is his improved area

Mailata is now weighing in at 96kg's he's solid and muscular and has been training hard for 3 months. For the first time in his career he has a trainer and its making a big difference.

He feels he can knock Hoppa out inside of 4!
