These are the two judges responsible for turning in truly horrible scorecards last Saturday in the Matthews/Simpson fight.
Paris's card of 117-110 is an absolute disgrace....but O'Connells card of 118-112 is even worse. Its ludicrous and i think corrupt. Something has to be done about this. This type of shit cannot be allowed to fly any longer and i await to see what actions the BBBC will take on this matter.
Larry O'Connell and Dave Paris
I like your optimism Stu , but I would be very surprised if that was the case. I don't know why because I've seen terrible scoring before but this fight has left me pretty disillusionedstujones wrote:I'm still hoping that Michael Pass (or someone passing pass the results) made a cock up and it was Simpson who won by those margins.
I think a case could be made for Simpson to win by the margin as some of the Matthews' rounds were quite close.

How they managed to score the way the did was truly amazing, I thought Matthews after taking a count and having docked points couldn't get a 118..?
The thing is though, they will likely not be questioned by the WBU or BBBoC (if they are, not at great length) and the terible scoring will remain and rear it's ugly head once more...
I'd be pleased if a statement is made and the result a NC but i'm clearly dreaming!

it came up on talksport the other day.
beaky (the morning presenter) attended the fight and he was complaining about the scoring. apparently they never took the deducted pts off or the knockdown pts.
i don't know if that was true.
there not exactly totally clued up on there boxing over at talksport.
