Steve holdsworth Fact of the day
Re: Steve holdsworth Fact of the day
I've got that fight on tape. A beaten Coggi was led back to his corner by the referee and the Colombian, who had clearly forced a genuine stoppage, thought he had won. The referee then allowed Coggi to recuperate in his corner and after about five minutes, and I mean five minutes, cleared the ring and ordered the pair to continue. It was truly 'bent'. A dispirited Gonzalez knew he couldn't win and was stopped around the seventh or eighth. I often wondered what was done about the referee that night. I'm glad the scumbag was banned for life.REAL_DEAL wrote:Friendly Ref
