Spinks vs Spinks
Leon v Michael at heavyweight - who would have won? Obviously I mean a prime Leon, not the one who lost to John Carlo.

re
Leon Spinks on the night that he won the title from Ali would have been tough to beat. Overall career-wise there is really no comparision...Michael Spinks has that advantage by a long-shot, but both men on their very best night...well, it would very likely be a toss-up. I'd go with Michael Spinks by decision.

If for the sake of this match up both fighters are in shape and weighing in at around 200lbs. Leon actually bothered to train hard and had stayed of the partying, then this is a tough fight to call.
The few times Leon was 'on' he was a formidable fighter, very strong, aggresive, high workrate, tremendous stamina and bags of heart.
An octaine charged Leon may well, be able to bully, outwork and overwhelm Michael, not allowing his little brother to get into his 'herky-jerky' routine long enough to be effective.
Leon could outwork his younger brother over 15 hard rounds IF his was fit and focused, but thats a big IF.
As a side note from what I have seen and read Leon was the better amateur and was the one seen as the bigger prospect at the time.
