Greatest Brawls

Post by HomicideHenry »

Name the greatest brawls that you ever seen 8)

for my money, one of my all time favorite brawls is...

most of Tony Galento's filmed fights :TU:

Galento vs Louis, Galento vs Nova, Galento vs Max Baer & Buddy Baer

awesome in their brutality...though humorous in places, when Galento would have to jump literally off the ground at times to land a punch on much larger opponents. :box:

Galento- max Baer was a dirty dirty fight, they really seemed to dislike each other and you can see them talking to each other.Galento was a short fat little guy,Baer who always seemed huge for the time looks like Abe Simon in stature in this fight, and really gave Tony a hammering in the last round.Funny thing with Baer ,he could look awful when he used his jab to measure guys for his sunday punch but when he connected it was devastating. Always enjoyed the Tony Sibson-Frankie Lucas fight where Lucas tried to intimidate Sibbo at the start,Sibbo came out throwing hooks like a man possesed!

Frank 'The Animal' Fletcher vs James Green was the brawl of the 80's. I favour this 6 round action packed fight over Hagler-Hearns.

Coetzee vs Weaver, Foreman vs Lyle, Argeullo vs Escalera II, Saad Muhammad vs Yaqui Lopez, Gonzales vs Carbajal.

All great brawls.
