So the old warrior keeps up his attempt for another crack at the title with a stoppage of the game Vinny Maddalone.

I was actually surprised to read that he is now only one year behind the age Foreman was when he defeated Michael Moorer - In fact Holyfield is 45 this year which means there is a good chance he might get a crack at a title the same age Foreman was.

This made me stop and think, because it was such a huge deal when Foreman did it, and with the state of the current scene, it's possible the 'real deal' could match that achievement.

I actually thought Holy should have retired and have stated as much on these boards in the past, but credit where it is due, he is getting himself a nice little run going again.

Wonder who he'll fight next.

He didn't look particularly great vs Oquendo, and might have been a tad fortunate with the decision. However, I think Oquendo could be a geniune player in the devision and could make practically anyone look as bad as Holyfield.

Maybe his injuries did affect him and maybe now he has recovered. Clearly no where near the fighter he was but has looked the best he has since the Rahman fight when arguably he was 2 behind Lewis at that stage.
