Roman Greenberg KO1 Konstantin Prizyuk

Post by knockout artist »

Did anyone see this fight last night.

I was there, Greenberg looked sensational. I reckon he's the best HW in Britain (besides LL) right now.

He could go all the way.

What card was this on?

One thing I am loving about Greenberg is how busy he is keeping himself, absolutely the best way to go about it.

This was on a dinner show at The Milllenium Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

Claude Abrams covered it for BN and was very, very impressed as was Mickey Duff who was also there.

I heard that Danny Williams wants to spar with Roman as he feels that (apart from himself) Roman is the best HW in the Country.

I keep hearing Roman has been seriously flattened a few times in sparring...I know what rumours are like in this game, but it's come from someone who's usualy reliable and says he was there...

Roman does have very lively sparring sessions. But believe me, he is no shrinking violet. He is a tough nut. Very hard and ruthless.

I saw him spar with Sprott last month. Sprott tried to manhandle him thinking that if he put him in his place now, he would have a psycological edge in the future. Roman basically humiliated him for six rounds. At the end Sprott's face was all smashed up. He looked bewildered.

Going back to my first question did anyone see the fight? This was the best performance of Greenberg's career. He is now 13-0 and should fight again on 7th November.

Well for a fighter who's been flattened continuously in the gym Greenberg doesn't seem to lack confidence. In fact he fights like the most confident heavyweight in the country.

Spot on Kilburn.

If he had been flattened in the gym, he would'nt have been allowed to fight a guy who decked and extended John McDermott in his last fight.

Greenberg oozes confidence. He's the next big thing and the difference is that he can really fight.

Apparently is was by Holden at the Peacock gym about a year ago.

Still, I hope he's as good as he sounds - haven't even seen him yet.

Prizuk's record 1-6-1 (0 KO's). I'll stick with the Luke Simpkin yardstick for now thanks.

One round knockouts look sensational, but the longer, harder fights tell you so much more about a fighter. Either way, I have a hunch that Greenberg is the genuine article.

Good he stays busy, keeping that tension for the fights, if you know what I mean. What i've seen from Greenberg looks great, great footwork and speed, stinging jab. You wouldn't say he's 6'3 220

His fight with Simpkin is on the FTP by the way

I seriously hope he does go all the way for the sole fact that he is so young. It would be nice to know that a future champion would be fighting top level guys for more than 2 years before turning 50.
