Froch would give any SM in the world trouble at this stage - ok he wont win em all, but with his confidence, chin, punch and fearless attitude he'd be a live one with any of the champs out there.

Get him in with Calzaghe next, instead of another schmuck we've never heard of.
Bet on Froch to fight Rob Reid if he outs in a resrectable performance next week.

Froch is World Class, but he needs big fights now.

Stick him in with Jeff Lacy I say. Good fight for both men.

Think you could be right about Reid fight, John. Seems the next logical step as he bides his time for some sort of title shot. Doesn't Hennessey steer clear of the low rent type WBU belts? Hope so...

Lacy would be an excellent fight, but the fact that both have good chins, can punch a bit and aren't too hard to hit, means the loser would be in for a career ending beating. Risky fight.

I suppose that was really a SM flattening a middleweight last night, but he can defintely hit, that's for sure.

Mick should fly Froch out to Denmark for a ringside seat tonight.

I dont see Lacy giving Froch too many problems really, as long as he watches his defence.... I've criticised Froch in the past but he's turned it around in his last 2 fights for me... its not just that he won but how he won and his attitude in the ring looks much better... I think he should go looking for world titles right now, ...if he cant get Calzaghe then go for one of the other respected titles... I think Froch would give Calzaghe a lot of trouble and probably beat him at this point imo...

Froch wouldn't beat Calzaghe. Froch takes too many punches, he would get peppered like Lacy did.

We don't know if he can or can't beat Calzaghe. I mean, look at the state of Calzaghe Nothing he did before 1997 would suggest, say, he could've beaten a fighter like Collins.

That above post saying he only stopped him cause Bute beat him up two months ago is crap.

How would you know if the stoppage was early, your in Montreal Canada
Is it on YOUTUBE yet?

Bute cant punch!
Bute would get done it by Froch 100%

Froch has face much better fighters overall
and he could KO anyone

The Froch record looks very good. Magee, Dodson & Tatevosyan stopped, tricky bugger Matthew Barney beaten. Very solid record and most of the time, Froch is doing it in style.

no chance for next fight, bute is fighting Bika for an IBF eliminator. So if bute wins ... he got a shot at berrio. If he lose, froch gains nothing fighting bute.

The fight could happen if bute beat both bika and berrio (which I think he can do it).

And if the fight happen god knows what will happen. Both outclassed tatevosyan easly in different way and I have to agree that froch KO is very good.

I've criticised his defence and its without doubt his biggest flaw, but having said that he does use his low left as a tempter to draw his opponents fire and then counters very well... and he does have a great chin and good power... Calzaghe would catch him with shots but he would be caught in return... Froch wouldnt just be standing there taking it like Lacy did... I also think Froch is the kind of fighter who gets better with his opposition and if he fights Calzaghe I think he would be even sharper than we've seen so far...

Silly rule the IBF has, Froch is more deserving than Bika for that Eliminator. Bute was up for a fight the same night and he had to cancel
the card. I understand Interbox had 10, 000 fans coming to Montreal's Bell Center. I am not sure how mant Froch had but it looked over 5000 min on TV. And don't forget the TV revinue(SKY+Canadian TV?)
The I.B.F. should be more flexible and let the two best get the shot!

Froch never was even offered the fight says Montreal News
(Journal Du Montreal)
That is a sham, the IBF should look at that rule hard, it hurts the sport.

Froch vs Bute is a good money fight, both have a huge fan base
But I would think that with Hennessys Canadian contacts he could put together the best deal and give Carl the best chance for the win.

Good call about Denmark, Rob.

I agree Lacy would be risky, but it would satisfy my lust for 50/50 fights.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say that froch (who clearly has a hard and accurot dig) can go one better than Calzaghe and KO Lacy..

If he did that calzaghe would no longer be able ot hold on to that "he's not in my league so Im fighting a TV star journyman" defence and a fight which will be a contest and could see eather of them KOed could happen.

So once Bute V Bika happens does the winner fight Berrio? Or can Berrio face a voluntary first? I only ask because i read Sauerland was lining Berrio up with Danilo Haussler. Talk about keeping a title in the family! Sauerland is very skilled at this trick.

I don't really understand the way these alphabet titles work but if Berrio faced Haussler now i would see only one winner. Berrio is on good form after beating Yusef Mack and now Stieglitz while Haussler was only ever European level at best. Now he is arguably on the slide. Berrio by TKO.

But anywho...not sure where Froch fits into this picture but i see Bute outpointing Bika in a tough one.

I agree, Froch definately hits harder than Calzaghe and Lacy seemed close to being a shot fighter in his recent 'come back' fight.... I dont think it would last more than 5 rounds...

I had the fight on my computer within 1-2 hours after the fight ended.

1- Bute is fighting Sakio Bika next in an IBF title eliminator.

2- Hennessy has connections with GYM. Bute is promoted by Interbox.

The title eliminator wont happen until june. The winner get's a title shot in september if everything goes according to the plans.

Berrio is allowed to make one voluntary title diffence. Most likely in june.

I believe a lot in Bute's ability. I actually think he'll give Bika a beating in the late stages, though it's doubtful he stops Sakio. Sajio is very tough, but not very adaptable and Bute's a lefty.

I also think Froch is going to do very well. Barney, Magee, Dodson and Tatevosyan all beaten. That's as good, if not better than Bute's best comp (Salem, Thysse, Mock, Tatevosyan) & Froch has been hitting the harder.

Hennessy has plugs with GYM was the point I was making.
With that conection they can make that fight pay on both sides of the Atlantic. GYM is Interboxing's rival, no?

Can I also ask why Quebec likes a fighter from Romania so much?
He's not even Canadian, whats the deal
He's a good fighter, but can he even speak French or English?
Seems strange to me, why not support a real Canadian fighter?[/quote]

He has fought a lot of good fighters at the edge of world class as has been mentioned including Barny who but for a dogey decision would have been European champion at the weight above. The low guard does two things it lures people in so he can get his shots off and also makes it difficult for people to see where the shots are comming from (admitedly I am yet to see this stoppage but if someone posts a youtube link I'll be grateful).

I would like to see him fight someone known state side and get a bit of a buzz about him there too, I want to see the lacy fight but not sure if lacy's team will be up for it they know where there fighter is at and don't want to see him get beaten up.

Not seen much of Kesseler particularly now I don't have digital so don't know if Froch has the measure of him seems to be winning well though.

Don't forget too that Froch stopped Henry Porras in 8 rounds, Porras went the full 12 with Jurgen Brahmer.

Yes GYM and InterBox are Rivals.

Fight fans in Quebec like Bute because he is a spectacular fighter. He learned french. His fan base keeps growing after every fight.

He was the main event for the first time in his 12th fight I beleive. He sold +3000 tickets, then 6000 tickets, then 9000, etc...

He is dedicated, focused and a hard worker. He doesnt talk trash, etc...

If Bute had Froch's attitude he probably wouldnt be as popular. We don't like arrogant/cocky fighters around here.

GYM is interbox rival. Interbox's owner is Eric Lucas and Gym's owner is Yvon michel who was lucas's manager. They are not ennemy now but they are not friend.

We got a lot some nice romanian fighter (bute, diaconnu and jo jo dan) here since Dorin won a wolrd title with interbox in 2002. I would say they are in average better than canadian fighter.

In the smw we have currently Bute, Jean Pascal and Adonis Steverson.
Out of the three, Bute have proved a lot more. He is also able to do the main event of "big" ppv. He is a hardworker, he listen to his cornor, never do trash talk and he is currently learning french.

Bute is also Eric Lucas's protege and Lucas is very very popular here.

Yes they are not from here, however they are good or great, they love the place and respect the fans. So honestly I prefer these to some french canadian's fighter.
