Is the Joe Calagaghe/Peter Manfredo fight on April 7th going to be shown on ITV does anyone know? And will it be on in the middle of the night again to please the Yanks?

To be fair, that is who I'm aiming my anger at. Hell, if Joe Calazaghe offered me the chance to make a lot of money and fight him, I would. It's not like I think I'd have any chance of winning.yiddo14 wrote:Bit harsh boxrec.
Manfredo is just taking advantage of a chance he should NEVER have been given.
If your upset with this mismatch of a fight(as most fans are)then maybe you should aim your anger at Calzaghe and his camp...afterall,he took the fight.
What pisses me off is that after his performance against Lacy people are expecting big name fights from Calazaghe, and yet he pulls out against Johnson and fights boxing's answer to Jade Goodey in Manfredo Jr.
Harsh on Manfredo there Boxrec. He seems like a good bloke who always gives his best. Yes, he might be limited and small for the weight - but he'll try.
It's a poor fight especially with Kessler, Bute and now Froch looking impressive recently. However, I don't think it is amongst Joe's top 5 worst opponents and Manfredo hasn't done alot wrong. All he can do is beat the man infront of him - which he has done. Its brought him an underserving shot - but is that his fault.
He appears to be nothing like Harrison in personality - he took the "defeat" in the rematch with Mora very well. The likes of Barrera should have taken note of his sportsmanship cause that was a bit of a robbery.
