Bernard Dunne - REMINDER

Post by states »

Just to let you all know that Dunne's European title fight against Yersin Jailauov can be seen via the interweb at http://www.rte.ie/sport tonight at 9 (which is about 2 and a half hours from now, for those of you who haven't put your clocks forward.)

No idea what the quality is like, but I'll be watching.

I always thought that Dave was a loyalist ulterman - its therefore a little strange to hear him on RTE/commentating on fights from Dublin.

having said that, commentating has to beat being a chef and the long hours that come with that job, (which was his trade before and after boxing I believe).

Dunne-Molitor would be a great fight, IMHO

Finally they stop It.

Nice fight, Dunne's too open for Molitor I think though.

its a fantastic feed - fair play to RTE for providing this.

Gotta say the commentor is a bit irritating.

Good win for Dunne - he went in for the kill when the man was shook up.

Pretty much expected but you still have to beat them, everytime that ref jumped in i thought ok he's stopping it but instead he just did a mime for some indiscretion!

Dunne would beat Hunter but Molitor would be a different proposition.

Just to echo the "feed praise" it was a great picture with no skipping. If only it was a bit bigger, you can see online fights becoming a thing of the future.

If you 'right clicked' over the picture you could go to full screen, which was still good, if a little pixalated.

Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dunne looked very open - I doubt he would be so ope versus a better opponant. Also he beat Molitor as an amatuer!

It was a left hook that stuck him on his arse..

Good shot but Dunne will have to tighten up against a better quality foe

I think he just had it in his mind that Hunter stopped him in 2 and he didn't want to be outdone by a rival. Otherwise, he's usually a bit tighter than that.

Anyone seen Kiko Martinez in action? His record doesn't show much, but it looks like he packs a bit of power, 12 stoppages in his 15 wins. Best puncher Dunnes been in with since getting shaken up by Voronin?
