Haye-Hide any closer?

So Hide still can fight, and he's a cruiserweight. Haye has been cut off from a lot of top domestic fights - Macca, probably Williams, Audley, definitely Sprott, Skelton, because they're with you know who...Haye likes to take "gamble fights" and wouldn't a fight with Hide be an exciting roll of the dice? I have no clue what would happen!

I hear that Maloney's trying for a Mormeck fight in England soon. Providing all goes well (Bonin, notably) and continues to do so, would anyone say no to Haye-Hide?Some intriguing fights out there for Hayemaker.

I read somewhere today Mormeck has been ordered to defend against Haye.

I'm sure there'll be room down the line for haye-Hide. It's an absolute natural if Herbie can keep winning & stay out of trouble.

So, what exactly is Herbie's promotional status?

I think that Haye may well have moved up by the time hide has won a few more. I can see Haye making only one or two defences if he won the title, and if he gets beaten in a losing effort to Mormeck, will surely move on up.

Hide could always move up - a bit. Marketable fight, if Herbie can show he's serious about boxing.

I might be underestimating Haye, but I seriously doubt he wants Hide.

Haye would only take on Hide at this stage if it was woth something and if indeed, after (should he get the chance) fighting for the Cruiserrweight title, David goes to Heavyweight permanently... He has stated on numerous occaisions that he wants to see his career at Heavyweght after, as he puts it ,cleans up the Crusierweight division... I assume this means win the World title...

Hide will unlikely feature is Haye's plans I feel - David will probably keep good on his want of fighting at Heavyweight and not having to shed two stone for each fight.

**Herbie is being promoted by German Promotion, Arena, but there is some cloud over his departure from I believe, Hennessy Sports. Boxing News has the details but I don't have the copy to hand***

Haye really needs a big name to trade off. The only big 'name' on his ledger so far is Carl Thompson. A kayo of Hide gives people something to say about Haye. I say go to Germany and try chin Hide to get his name around the world, building up a Mormeck fight in Autum a lot more.

IF, he can actually beat Hide. I'd say its 50/50 at best.
