David Guerault.

Is allegedly still managing this guy or not? After announcing a new base of fighters in France including this former World title contender so far I have yet to see very little in his involvement. Guerault is fighting on the UNDERCARD of a Eurosport bill out in Spain this week.

Oh well, so much for the big investment.

Guerault has just lost to a Edison Torres on Eurosport. Stopped in the dying seconds of a surprisingly good fight. Guerault in control for first two sessions, but Torres took over won all the other rounds on my card, gribbling Guerault to the body on numerous occasions and flooring the Frenchman in 6th.

Maybe Guerault had enough about him to survive the end - but in some ways it reminded my of Gethin vs Booth- I think he should have been pulled out at the end of the 6th.

Torres is 38, but obviously a little better than his record suggests.

Hopefully Guerault will retire after last night, he could just have made it to the end of the fight, but the ref wasn't to know how long was left in the final round, and there were no complaints from Guerault when it was stopped.
Guerault was a very good boxer , who was at his best around 97/98 winning and defending the euro fly title , although he did move up in weight to Bantam with some success winning the euro title.

Agreed. I saw him fight Bredahl in Copenhagan couple of years ago (incidentally, a great boxing night out, the Danes are good fun and like their boxing), 2 of the judges had it by a landslide for Bredahl, one wafer thin. I'd been tucking into the Carlsberg Extra so wasn't properly scoring but had it about even.

Guerault was unlucky to get his only world title shot when he moved to Bantam, i think he was a better boxer at fly, but he was one of those dangerous boxers who would have given anyone trouble, so therefor he was leftout when it came to champions defending their titles.

Both Guerault and Bredahl were underestimated boxers in their prime.
