What do you think would have been the outcome if these to big, power punching, intimidating Heavyweight wecking machines had met in 1976? Who would have intimidated who? Who would have been left standing once the dust had settled?

Foreman likely by knockout over Tiger, although difficult to judge what with only two known tapes of Tiger and a lot of rumour and heresay.

Tiger was scheduled to fight Foreman for world title in 73 or 74 though.

I would also go with Lyle by decision, mainly due to him outworking Williams in-tight. Lyle was a superb short-puncher who could really wing in beautiful combinations from the inside. I think one of his main weaknesses was a sloppy outside game . . he had a great jab but it could get pawish, and defensively he would get too cute, stretching out both arms like Ali.

No doubt that if he'd gotten an earlier start in boxing, he could have been a really great fighter.

This fight would of been a great bout to watch and if Lyle could get Foreman in trouble than Williams could do so as well. Dont forget Williams only had to remain standing in his fight with Shavers to win, but Williams decided to brawl with Shavers and even floored him at the beginning of the round...but as they began to trade later on Shavers got the better of the exchange and stopped Williams in the final seconds of the final round.

Williams should of beaten Shavers and he would of given Foreman similar problems.

That was a good fight as well, Lyle proved he could take a punch i.e that massive lefthook Shavers caught him with in the 2nd. I have the fight on tape but with no sound, I dont think you even get a copy of this fight with sound.
