SH#T THE BED! ITS OLIVER McCALL v SAMIL SAM in JUNE!

Looks like The Atomic Bull pipped Rahman to the post.

If McCall pulls off the upset, its surely McCall in some form of unlikely world title challenge isnt it? 10 years on from his last one?!!

Wouldn't even say it would be such a big upset. SSS has always been ranked far too highly by the WBC, though.

If he's in decent shape mentally then Mccall can win this fairly comfortably imo...

Yep definitely a winnable fight for Mccall and I've never had any faith in Sam - I think the Williams win flattered him and how he can be a professional athlete with the amount of excess poundage(putting it mildly) he carries is beyond me. Incidently I think if he lost a stone he'd be much more fleet of foot, less plodding and so less suceptible to being outboxed. He's got the pedigree and technique, shame about his dedication.

Sams style is made for Mccall imo.... Mccall will probably stop him...

McCall wins by big right hand and the kind of insatiable need to make money that only a long term crack habit can give you..

Could be interesting, I think alot could do with the type of Sam that turns up. I actually think McCall's style will suit Sam. Slow footed blodder with slow (these days especially) hands.

McCall though is one of the best 40+ fighters I have seen in recent years.

Does demonstrate how fucked up Heavyweight boxing is though that Mcall has a decent shout of picking up a genuine world Heavyweight title.

When Oliver was done chucking a Xmas tree through a hotel window 10+ years ago people would have thought you as crazy as him if you told them he would be winning a world title in 2007.

This one has Sam on points written all over it.

After watching a rejuvenated Maskaev bounce powershots off Sam all night i can't see a stoppage for McCall. I can't even see McCall outlanding Sam. That said i haven't seen the latest version of him.

Looks a fairly even fight to me this, McCall has always been susceptible to a points loss against fighters with a good chin, but Samil Sam isn't the most consistent himself.

I'd like to see McCall win, but Samil Sam is the younger and possibly fitter man.

McCall looked pretty bad his last fight with Diaz, even though he won. I've never thought much of S.S.S. at all. I think McCall has the edge in power and chin, so I'd lean towards him for a close decision I guess.......

Diaz has the style to make most fighters look bad though, and Mccall looked good in his finishing of Diaz... Sam won't be running away like Diaz, he'll come right at Mccall and will be there to be hit and Mccall is still a danger to any fighter he can hit...
