Sky are unsure whether they can afford to broadcast the fight live, the fight will definately be aired the following Friday at 10pm.

Sky have got to show this fight live.

Think it's time for everyone to e-mail sky.

I don't think it's massive to the average joe on the street, DLH is known, but he's not an idol over here to your general sports fan.

That said, this fight HAS to be shown.

I'm considering going over to watch it on closed circuit TV in Vegas for $50.

I spoke to sky, nothing is 100% but it doesn't sound good.

It wont be shown ppv, Sky said its impossible to make it pay.

Skys being cancelled, I only get sky sports for boxing and they cant even provide the biggest fight of the decade

That's a bit shit but i'm going to Vegas to watch it anyone care to join me?

I remember when i first reserved the flights and hotels a few people from here wanted to go. I've got a few spaces left if anyones interested in them.

Direct Virgin flights out on Thursday, back on Sunday for £500 (£620 from Virgin direct)

Also rooms at the MGM for £575 (c£670 direct).

I've got some other people who say they want them but won't commit so i've told them first come first served.

Let us know quick if you're up for it.

They may be right, I bet they are charging an absolute fortune for this fight.

I wonder how much the PPV will be in the US? It will surely be around 50-60 dollars, how many people over here are going to shell out £30 to watch this fight?

I wanted to organise a trip to Vegas to watch this, at the time I could have booked the MGM signature grand and get a suite for 4 to bring the cost down, but my mates have fannied about too long.

Just got back off holiday where I spent way too much, and don't think I can realistically do this now. Flights are too damned expensive.

£1075 for four days in Vegas is too much even for this fight!

The MGM has jacked it's prices right up for rooms. Might be able to do it if I could get rooms elsewhere.

They've screened just about every ODLH and PBF fight against lesser opponents, so how can they withdraw now??!

Who knows what sort of numbers those fights did though? Also, it depends how much they are charging for this fight. The fighters are getting paid an absolute fortune for this fight, isn't it the second richest purse in history outside the heavyweight division?

The promoters have to charge the networks a higher fee to pay for the purses, and the gate goes a long way to this, but there is probably an element of greed involved by all concerned as well.

Can anyone remember, but wasn't the Oscar v Bernard fight a bit dissapointing PPV over here?

Great news!

Hopefully this fight will get the build up it deserves - shows like this one will sucker in the average sports fan and give them an appreciation for the size of the event.

Lets face it, in the UK neither fighter is a house hold name (a sign of the marginalisation of the sport unfortunately.)
