bennie, Ulylsees, MW, Dirt??
bennie, Ulylsees, MW, Dirt..
Can any of you guys help??
A poster on another forum is looking for some back issues of Boxing Monthly - Especially older editions..
Notably, the issues that covered Hamed/Barerra, Hamed/Kelley..
More recently, RJJ vs Woods & RJJ vs Ruiz..
Any ideas if it is still possible to get hold of the above??
Cheers for any help guys..

The do have back issues but not many, when I subscribe I phoned them and they gave me a list of the ones they had available - some of the ones that were less the 2 years old had been sold out.MightyWarrior wrote:He should give their offices a call chief ( if he hasn't already ) I'm sure I've seen them advertise back issues. They probably have a room full of em..
So yes, you'll get of the issues for some of the fights, but you might be unlucky with Hamed vs Barrera.
Having said that it was about 1998 when I had the list, with computer technology getting more advance, perhaps they've found better ways to store the back catalogue.
Worth a go.

He should try Dominic Foley - but be prepared to buy a whole volume (April - March) as I don't think he splits them.

Has anyone actually seen Mesi fight? I know I haven't. Quite a few are picking Williamson by KO but I don't even think he's a legit puncher despite his impressive record.
I reckon it could turn into a maul-fest with Mesi getting the decision at the end.

You could be right there Kilburn, I haven't seen him fight either. But being a white heavyweight you're always half expecting him to get shockingly knocked outKilburn wrote:Has anyone actually seen Mesi fight? I know I haven't. Williamson is described as genuinely heavy handed, but sounds like he has a glass jaw too - I'm going for Mesi just because I'm guessing he wont come unstuck at such an early stage, in front of his adoring home crowd.

Well I watched Williamson on CH5 a while ago against Robert Wiggins. To me he just looked like another lazy(ish) fighter going nowhere. He certainly didn't look a great puncher to me and he hangs his chin way up in the air, begging to be knocked out. Bugger it let me find Mr lightsoot, time to change my prediction from UD to brutal KO.
By the way will you just look at that picture of Dokiwari jesus. And they accuse Bernard Hopkins of being ugly!
