This has to be bumped up. It's a huge disrespect to the excellent boxing display of Michael Jennings to let this be lost in all the moaning and controversy of tonights more high profile fights.
Khan blew away another hapless foe, Calzaghe fight was stopped far too soon, and Maccarinelli blew out a unworthy title challenger.
BUT
Michael Jennings put on a 12 round boxing clinic and worked his ass off throughout to outbox Takaloo who had no answers for the energetic Jennings. Well done to Michael. It was a good win and i think he can mix with a much higher level now.
Have to say it was a dull fight, but that's because Jennings had great movement and concentration. Particularly for the first match, where it's easy to feel like a mere undercard distraction for early arrivers.
Only his power would let him down at world level I feel.
jennings boxed a really smart fight and coasted his way to a landslide points victory in my eyes.He gave a great display of pure boxing with nice jabs and brilliant lateral movement and never gave takaloo a chance to get into the fight
I thought Michael was excellent, moved well, threw good scoring shots when moving in, and also tied Takaloo up when he was inside nicely.
Jennings v Anderson would be a great fight to make, and Anderson would be throwing alot more at Jennings than Takaloo did.
Not sure where Takaloo goes from here, he's got a court case coming up and may have to sit out a ban from the BBBoC if he's found guilty.
he fought the right fight, but at a higher level i feel he may need more power, a higher workrate, and faster hands. of course im being picky he had a very good night out on saturday, but its a very deep division,
Michael Jennings should indeed be proud of his performance against Takaoo. It wasn't a great fight but Jennings showed great fitness and concentration. Boxed a very smart, controlled fight. Looked very professional.
As others have said a fight against Anderson would be very interesting.
Great win for Jennings and a world championship belt too, maybe he could unify with the IBO champion? Only kidding Jennings was flawless, Takaloo was maybe weight drained or perhaps distracted, he may have mislaid his giro book or something.
Either way would love to see Mikey ditch the WBU shit and aim for the British or Bonsu the European guy who was mentioned. Takaloo has had his day now, Jennings is back in the mix.
Jennings seems to be a class act in and out of the ring. Cannot remember him moaning much about the scoring of the Mutley fight (which could have gone either way).
Hope he gets it on with the likes of Anderson, Mutey, Nuumbembe and Magee (should he upset Anderson).
Jennings done well against Tak, but I think Anderson would rip him a new arse hole. Jennings not got the power to keep Anderson at bay, Kev will swarm all over him, Jennings loses convincingly.
Takaloo was clueless. After all these years in the game, he's still can't fathom good boxers. It will be UNinteresting hearing the excuses for his performance.
Good nights work by Jennings. Very disciplined sticking to the game plan.

stick and move, a bit boring.
taks was just clueless.
a better fighter would still outhustle jennings.
Wouldn't call him boring, just Jennings makes the most of his skills, he's not a banger , so doesn't try and blast people out , he puts on an excellent display of boxing.
boring! he was in one of the domestic fights of the year not long back(bradley pryce)i think he just had taks number and boxed a clever fight.a bit like hatton in his last few fights
