If there is a WBA mandatory who has to fight the mandatory,the champ or the super champ? Like in the case of the supermiddles if froch were to become WBA mandatory - who would he be the mandatory for - kessler or mundine?

Haha, awesome question, im sure the WBA themselves don't know the answer. The super-champ rule is the most cancerous, villainous move EVER.

Sorry black panther, but I have to say that is rather a stupid question. The answer (obviously) is that it depends on the day of the week. The superchamp must fight the mandatory on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the regular champ takes on the responsibility at the weekends. Unless of course It's a public holiday, in which case the mandatory challenger must phone the helpline before 12 noon the day before and ask for an appointment for 13 days in advance, unless its a leap year in which case all queries must be directed to Ibeabuchi associates. And if it's April 29th (but not a full moon) then you must fight Evans Ashira for the interim title, unless you own a Duran Duran album, in which case you must fail a medical and lose your ranking. Simple.

Hi there Mr Panther,

it's a messy old situation, but I am sure you'd like some sort of "proper" answer than just jokes (although "proper" is a joke in itself when it comes to the WBA).

I believe that the regular WBA champion has to make the standard mandatory defences, but every 18 months (might be 21 if you hold 3 titles, and 24 if you hold all 4 belts) the Super-Champion has to defend against the regular WBA champion.

However, watch Mormeck-Hill and Kessler-Mundine and see if this actually happens or not. I think the only WBA Super-champ to defend ahgainst the regular champ was Hopkins versus Joppy.
