Commonwealth champ Jackson Asiku

Post by Des1 »

Whats happening with him? Think he hasnt boxed since last june or july. Isnt he due a fight soon? hope this talented fighter dosnt go to waste. It seems that none of our featherweights want any part of him. Did hear that he even offered to box Alex Arthur up at superfeather but Arthur didnt want to know. Its a shame that Asiku dosnt seem to have the right people behind hm to push him forward, looks like he's going to be frozen out. I believe he'd beat everyone of our top featherweights Cook, Mathews, Morris, Foster, Simpson and would have a better chance now at world level than what Cook & Mathews would have, dont forget although the lost two close debatable points decisions to genuine world class fighters that was early in his career, he's more mature & experianced now. Cant believe Warren hasnt got his hands on him. Bring back Micky Duff, he'd known what to do with him!

I dont think Asiku would beat Cook, but yea, he'd beat Mathews and Foster, not seen enough of Morris, he looked promising, but to early to say with his level opposition, Id try posting this in the Australian forum, as he is based over there, but I hadnt realised it had been that long.

Who's based in Australia? Last I heard Jackson was based in Coventry.

He's supposedly fighting on April 13th in Rugby.
