Gammer's return.

Post by stujones »

Looks like Scott Gammer will fight John McDermmott in may... Venue, date and TV details (if any) to be confirmed.

Not sure if its an eliminator for any title - but not a bad comeback opponent for Scott.

He's a 'name' opponent, I couldn't class him as anything else. We all know who he is, but I'm not sure he's actually any good. The only title I'd consider him a decent eliminator for would be the English title - which is unlikely for a Gammer fight, I'd say.

Speaking of Gammer: I've heard rumours that Maccarinelli gave him problems, and indeed floored him in sparring. Anyone know if there's any truth in this?

Haven't heard that states but it wouldn't surprise me, would favour Enzo comfortably over Gammer.

Yeah i'm not a major fan of Gammer, he is a solid British contender but little more. Shame as he has the skills and a decent workrate and maybe with a little more experience he can return stronger. As for McDermott i agree he is a "name" opponent but i'm not sure what he has ever done do deserve being a name :P He is always in poor shape and seems basic but competent enough. Expect Gammer to win here and if he doesn't it would be a concern.

I have never been much of a fan of Gammer, he's ok at British level but no more...

McDermott is not even close to that level mind so I'd say Gammer should get through him comfortably.

Why so negative about Big, Bad John? He aint bad for a fat lad! he is a decent fighter who is quite fast with his hands. I reckon he could outwork Gammer. G'wan John!
