Looking for information on my father

Post by pocket battleship »

If there is anyone here who can help I would really appreciate it. Iam looking for news articles and photos. Also does anyone know if any of the boxers that he fought are still alive. I would like to contact them and get more history of my Father. I have provided a link with my Father's info. I would like to make a wikipedia page for him and get as much first hand info from anyone that I can. http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=17548
Thanks for any help anyone here can offer. please fell free to email or pm me.
Thank You,
Steven Castellano

LOL @ Decagon...that was fooking hilarious

the name does sound familiar...i do say that much. but i'd just imagine your father was nothing more than a journeyman clubfighter. so iono if much material be on him. I'd suggest going to a library and looking up records, newspaper clippings through there. :TU:

he got in the ring with Little Poison who was ahighly ranked bantamweight. Sounds like your Dad was around when every second mexican could have been a worthy champion. Bummer!

Certainly a bad time to be a lower weight fighter...a great time for fans, but a tough time for the fighters! Joe Becerra, Raul Leanos, Jose Toluca Lopez, Vicente Saldivar, Ruben Olivares, Jesus Pimentel, Jose Medal, Chu Chu Castillo, Rafael Herrera and Efren Torres to name a few…and those were just a few of the top lighter weight Mexican fighters.
