VIP in association with Frank Maloney produced a cracking show last Friday evening at a packed out Altrincham Leisure centre for SKY TV - the event again raised the standards for other promoters to follow.There was too many great fights to pick a fight of the night, but the British Flyweight title fight between Dale Robinson and Chris Edwards was up there with 12 rounds of action ending in a draw , meaning the fans can look forward to a rematch. The 6 VIP fighters ended up with 4 wins , 1 loss and 1 draw :_

JAMIE MOORE - Proved that he is ready to compete against the world elite with a near shut out 119 -110 victory against highly rated Argentinian Sebastian Lujan. Although disappointed with the negative tactics of the Argie - he later stated that he could not believe the strength of Moore - this gave Jamie the chance to show his boxing skills and it was nice to see him keep his composure whilst improving his education.

MARK THOMPSON - A 1 round KO of Manochi Salari went a little bit further to proving that Mark may just be the outsider in the Welterweight divisions pack of Challengers -surely he is the biggest hitter !!

DANNY HARDING - Moved to 6-0 and shown everyone that his first victory over prospect Chris Pacy was not a fluke. It was another cracking contest but Danny found the cleaner punches in a contest that was fought at a cracking pace.

GARY SYKES - Even though this was his first fight in 12 months there was little sign of ring rust as he beat Christan Laight 40-36 with a wonderful display of controlled boxing. This fight confirmed his huge potential and big things are expected from the former ABA champion who holds 2 wins over John Murray in the amateurs.

ALEX MATTVIENKO - One website reporter called him the 'one man riot' after his last fight and the description proved correct for this one too. Both him and opponent Ryan Ashworth just stood toe to toe for every second of the 4 x 3 mins contest and although we all felt Alex had just edged it , a draw could not be argued with.

GARY O,CONNER - Lost this fight on points to the talented Scott Haywood who for the first 2 roundS totally dominated the contest hitting Gary at will. Gary who fought with a sore shoulder ,did show guts beyond the call of duty to get back in the fight but never did enough to swing the contest round.

I JUST LIKE TO SAY WHAT A GOOD SHOW ON FRIDAY NIGHT THEY SHOULD OF SHOWN THE UNDER CARD IT WAS BETTER THEN THE TOP OF THE BILL. THEY SHOULD OF SHOWN DANNY HARDING V CHRIS PACY & ALEX MATTVIENKO V RYAN ASHWORTH & GARY SYKES, MARK THOMPSON.....

The Harding-pacey fight was the fight of the night for me with the Mattvienko bout a close second.

Not only was the boxing good, but i lost approximately half my body weight by simply drinking in the bar area for an hour.

YES G-MAN THATS RIGHT HARDING V PACEY WAS THE BEST FIGHT OF THE NIGHT THE REF HAD HARDING BY ONE ROUND I GAVE IT FOUR ROUNDS TO HARDING & TWO TO PACEY.
