Seen him fight live and he looked to have pretty good skills, definitely well above your usual british fighters who engage in sloppy 4 and 6 rd cuff-fests. Doesnt knock anybody out but moves slick and outpoints people.
A lot of inactivity, anyone know his story? Have any of his fights been televised? Seemed to have a lot of local support at York Hall.
MICHAEL 'THE LOOK' LOMAX... anyone rate him?

Didnt see the fight but Terry said he came flying out of the corner wrecklessly and got tagged whilst trying to steam in - could be something of an aberration that one!Podmore_Birmingham wrote:He took out bigger Terry Adams in one-round - not bad form.
Tom Podmore.
Only seen Lomax 2 or 3 times and never thought he looked like he had power to be honest.
Doesn't he cut up as well?

Tom- thats the fight i was ringside for- Billy Smith. That Smith looked very useful, bit of a hardnut, i was amazed to later find out his record was something like 8-45. Smiths description actually sounds pretty accurate of the fight as i recall it.Podmore_Birmingham wrote:He took out bigger Terry Adams in one-round - not bad form. But Billy Smith said he was decent but had no power in his gloves, didnt like being hit and could be bullied back.
Billy did lose -so some sour grapes!
Tom Podmore.
Lomax knocked Smith down with a jab but it was only an off-balance knockdown.
Dont think he'll go world class, but ive seen less talanted britihs fighters get European shots- see Steve Bendall.
