By the way, perhaps someone should ask him if he's actually sent this letter to SN or FW or simply put it on his website for the 'fans' top see. Ask to see the proof of sending, you may be surprised.

Also, on FWTV Warren clearly states that he offered him $3m plus certain territorial TV rights. He seems to have omitted this fact, perhaps he doesn't want his fighter to know the full SP. Therefore the Package is worth much more than $3m.

Deductions, sanction fees, what utter Bullshit. Everyone has to pay these so tough shit.

Either way, it's hardly the letter of a man who is a professional businessman is it or someone who actually wants to sit down and seriously negotiate.

They should stick to Bacon and Pastries over there IMO.
Turn it in mate. Your boss/pal/brother in law, Mr Warren, is hardly averse to using the mainstream print an/or electronic media to get a point across.

We've been treated to the tirades of abuse and derision aimed at rival promoters/fighters/managers in the News of the World and on allegedly.TV over the years.

What's good for the goose is good for the Frander mate :TU:

There's a load of old bollocks being talked by both sides and no mistake.

It's all there for Joe. Kessler, Taylor. Respect, history. Money, glory.

Please don't fvck this up fWank. In ten years I don't want to hear that "Kessler didn't want the fight", that "Taylor woul have been dominated."

Put up, or FUKC OFF.

effing good job we did last time or we'd be reading his offer in German. No Balls, my Arse, they didn't invade is did they
Yeah that's a good way to get everyone on your side mention the war.

Maybe if Calzaghe had found the slightest interest in travelling for a tough fight people wouldn't be on his back all the time. Shame your refering to the "last time" being over 60 years ago...

Good job we weren't relying on Joe at the Normandy Landings isn't it?

He'd have been 'too terrified' of flying or getting a boat, and would instead have insisted that the germans come to Britain for a tear up, but would only have fought either the oldest members of the German Army, or the Italian auxilliary army, oh, and no tanks or planes allowed, only spud guns and water bombs.

I'm just starting to post here regularly after a while, but read most days so have seen boxingchat's postings through time, and they never cease to constantly amuse me, both in their hypocrisy and, well, lack of reasoning.

It's obvious that you, errrr, how shall I put this, share the views of Mr Warren boxingchat, for the most part. I think though that you're outdoing yourself with all this latest chat regarding Khan and Calzaghe.

It seems as though any time a promoter or fighter dares to answer a call from the Warren camp or, in this case, actually come up with a superior offer for one of Warren's fighters, then all they receive in return is abuse and lack of respect. I think even you have reached a new low though with making mention of the war!

In the end, as James has mentioned, Warren constantly communicates and makes barbs through the media, so any point about Palle doing the same can be thrown out there and then, it doesn't wash.

Maybe, and here's a thing and something new I'd like to see, Warren might actually respond in a grown up and 'businesslike' way to Palle's offer. If it isn't acceptable to him, or Joe, then explain why so we all know where we're at. Why not take that back to your puppetmaster and see what he says mate because, as it stands, Palle seems to have made an extremely sensible offer which seems to fit all of Warren's and Calzaghe's previous preferences..apart, of course, from fighting in Denmark which really shouldn't matter. After all, all Joe wants is a big fight and the money to go with it, so he's got both here?

Manager Mogens Palle is fed up with what he calls promotor Frank Warrens propaganda and bluff negotiation on behalf of Mikkel Kesslers great rival i supermiddleweight, Joe Calzaghe.
This is the decisive phrase. It's pretty obvious that Warren is ducking Kessler at all cost.

US$ 5 million for Joe looks like a pretty decent offer. A million more than Warren offered Taylor to come to the UK.

Make a better one, Frank, otherwise even Max Molyneux will understand one day the game you're playing.

Oh come on the early years of Kessler's reign are far superior to Calzaghe's, barely comparable. In fact he unified within 2 years of becoming champion.

If the fight doesn't eventuate so will Kessler and Palle. Palle said he doesn't doubt he will find the funds, what If he messes up on that part? Didn't they have trouble getting a TV contract a while ago?

He should be putting the offer In pounds too Joe Is not American.

More money would be made If the fight happens In the UK, not many Americans would go to see a main event between two Europeans on US soil either.
They will look like fools as they have now been offered almost double what they offered Kessler. If the fight dosn't happen Calzaghe's legacy is going to be affected as he has avioded all the best opponents over the 10 years of being champion.
What If Kessler goes on to fight terrible fighters too? He's had a good start like Calzaghe did when he first became champ but then Joe had some terrible fighters on his list.

Palle will look just as much a fool. The offer from Frank was 3 million so Palle's offer wasn't double.

At least Warren Isn't resorting to name calling In his offers.
What if the moon was made of cheese? Then the moon landing would have been a hoax.

Why these hypothetical questions about the future? Have you seen any indications of Kessler wanting to feed on 'pretenders'? Until then should we not give him the benefit of doubt?

It may not be exactly the double amount but just remember gross is equal or less than net (normally the latter).

Does it matter if Denmark is not as big a boxing nation as britain? If Palle can finance the fight in Denmark why not have it there? Remember if Warren want to call the bluff all he has to do is to accept the offer. This is the best offer Calzaghe has ever had. If he doesn't accept it what does it then take?

How about Scandinavia and Germany. Hardly backwaters? In fact he raised enough through there to bring Tyson over to fight his blobby heavyweight.

It was EITHER $3m gross OR TV rights in Denmark and Germany (worth about US 500,000).

As Palle rightly says, a travsesty of an offer. A sorry excuse for not wanting to make the fight. In a nutshell: vintage FWarren.

Eubank Is better than any of the names on Kessler's record, Lucas was shot, Beyer Is on the level of some of Joe's victim and Mundine Is the best but he was beaten by Siaca who Kessler made quit.

They're not that far superior.

Shot Joe had a good start too, lets wait and see.

Because he might of not sent that offer to Warren like BC said, he might of just said 5 million USD(He should say 2.5 Million Pounds, Joe's not American.)
on the net/media just to look good, has he sent the offer to Warren yet?

Palle admitted that Warren has sent offers through fax though, so at least Warren;s not just talking through the media.

I'd like to know how 3 million Is a travesty of an offer?

5 million Is bigger obviously but 3 millions a good pay too. :-?

I seriously think some posters here just like to hate on Warren on purpose, some were different before Palle made this offer acting like a spoilt child. Least he upped his offer but he doesn't sound very professional In that letter.

Sure Manfredo was brought over purely to make money but Andrade Is hardly more proven. And then to bring In a crap Jackie Mason joke makes me think he's a bit retarded.

He wants just as one sided terms as he says Warren might want by the sound of that letter.

Palle went public with it.

Hence, why doesn't Joe just say "yes" and call Palle's bluff if it is one?

Palle only just made It public today, lets wait and see If Joe and Warren notices It.

They'd probably has to find the open letter here, Palle's site probably Isn't that popular.

Finished reading the offer you mean? Call the bluff or make a better offer. Warren has more funds than Palle, Warren doesn't struggle with TV contracts and has had more/former world class fighters other than Kessler and Bredhl.

In past didn't Palle take a while do get a TV Contract?

Anyway Warren did make an offer to Palle and Palle admitted he did send one by fax too, by that logic Warren Is not ducking anything like you claim.

Lets not be Impatient either, big fights take time.

At least Hennessy wasn't talking like a child about Warren's offer for Froch either and Is prepared to let Carl fight on a Sports Network show as long as Warren don't put options of Froch.

Maybe, I don't know -- but that wasn't for Kessler vs. Calzaghe.

The thing is: there are offers and "offers". "Offers" serve typically to avoid people. Warren made an "offer", Palle made an offer.

Yeah -- it takes Warren more than 10 years by now....
