Anthony Small v Walter Wright

Post by REAL_DEAL »

Last night ESPN showed this fight in the first part of 6 UK v USA contender fights. I caught the action and scored it 6-2 to small. Wright had a big last round rocking small a number of times but the first 7 failed to make a impression. Small didnt need to go looking for Wright in the final round which caused Small to nearly get stopped. Not the best fight to watch but Small landed the better punches through out the fight, maybe the traveling or Smalls pre fight talk affected wright in the fight.

Catch the action if you can.

Anybody tape the ITV 4 version of this show? I was expecting it today... but its Minter vs Curiel.

Minter vs Curiel was an excellent fight and a massive KO (contender for KO of the year).

Minter will come back, it was a bit of a war. I don't think this showed he was chinny, I think the occasion got to him a little and he gassed badly in the last two rounds. He almost fought as Chas Symmonds did vs him. He could come back a better fighter.

Looks like ITV have done a blunder. They just advertised Minter vs Curiel for monday?

All very confusing?

I thought Walter would beat Small, and i thought i heard that he did, so i was shocked when Small won, although i'd say he won the fight.
I think he'd get knocked out by any world class figfhter, but he could easily become english/commenwealth champion

First time I've seen Small and I don't rate him that highly. Chin in the air and he'll be knocked out if he ventures into world class.

Small - Wright was on ITV on Monday (Itv 4 I think).

THey showed all the fight thank goodness without the usual contender editing and sound effects....

SO MInter-Curiel is this Monday.

I didn't think Small was as hurt as BN macde out - just tired. But he was actually coming back at the end of the round.
