Can anyone do this.... I've chosen to give the contender a go - thinking it was a repeat of the Small vs Wright fight.... Its not, but gutted about that cause I was looking forward to it. Would like to know how Howard is getting on.
Incidently, great to see Jim Rosenthal sitting next to Frank he is absolutely engrossed in the action ducking and diving.... a most definate fight fan.
Poor old Jim and Duke must have got the chop near the last minute - both are there ringside.
Ashira jumps in with big left hook but gets countered. Eastman just pawing with jab, low blow called for Eastman. Uppercut for Eastman lands as they trade. Ashira slowed down abit now.
Ashira bobbing and weaving blocking many of Eastman's jabs. Eastman on backfoot countering with soft hooks and uppercuts. Ashira loads up but misses. Eastman starting to take control.
Ashira comes out fast, lets hands go but Eastman spoils inside. More urgency in Ashira's work now...big left for Ashira lands. Eastman landing pitter patter shots as Ashira pressuring. Nice uppercut for Eastman lands as bell sounds. Good round.
Fighters trading in centre. Ashira slightly busier. Tape getting sorted on Esman glove...right lands for Ashira as Eastman holds. Eastman does much better as he flicks jabs from range and moves but now he's allowing Ashira inside, prob tired.
Ashira taking rest now as Eastman is winning round from range with just a jab. Eastman switching styles, gets caught with a few jabs but had the round in bag from first 2 mins.
Eastman's hands flowing well here in rd 10. Ashira is now the guy looking to hold and spoil inside. Good round for Eastman as Ashira doesn't land much. Body shot for Eastman, using ring well.....again tape comes loose on Eastman's glove...
Ashira comes out fast, pressing the action...Eastman gets warned for holding...combo for Eastman glances...lots of holding......ugly........Ashira swinging wild inside as Eastman hugs. Nothing big landed but I give round to Ashira.
Eastman working jab in the 12th, boxing from distance winning the round. Ashira is gassed but comes back with sloppy combo. Mostly holding now just waiting for bell..BIG left hand stuns Eastman...20 secs left and Ashira is swinging for fences but Eastman spoils inside.
7-5 Eastman
Tough fight for Eastman but Judges prob have it wider...

Yeah that was a good one, have to say i fell asleep during the main event, so didn't catch it all. Luckily woke up in time to see Reid v Hickman
But yet again SKY show clips of the undercard before they go to breaks and even show one of Hickman getting knocked down, Droves me mad when they do that.
lads i was there at the show (u can see me on the telly !!) and ive gotta say the undercard was miles better than the main event ! Hope u caught Hickman Reid on sky. Some cracking contests by our local black country lads as usual !
Reid v Khan anyone? Reid may not be the most skilled in the country, but at least he might take the fight to Khan , and we may find out what Khan's chin is like.
That was the same thought that went through my mind whilst watching the fight last night.
Khan would of course have the advantage in speed and skill but Reid would be deemed far too dangerous a puncher by Team Khan to be put in with their hot prospect.
It would be a fair fight in my opinion though. Looks like Khan may be heading for a fight with the ring rusty Willie Limmond.
As for Eastman, same old same old, fustrating to watch at times, as usual. He wrestled and clinched far too much for my liking. But a wins a win and the story continues.
