Dream Aussie Match Ups...

Post by Marlin »

What are the dream all Aussie match ups you would like to see?

Some of mine have come to fruition in recent times Green v Mundine, Ndou v Rabah, Soliman v Mundine, etc (not all with the desired outcome however).

So what would you like to see in the future? Geale v Medley and Dawson v Bika were mentioned on another thread and I have a few more I would like to put up but I will wait to see what you guys come up with first...

Would also like to see Briggs-Green.

Would also like to see Hoppa-Mason with the loser to retire and the winner to fight Haumono. That way we should get rid of Mason and Hoppa in a matter of 2 fights

I thought Briggs-Green would be one of the first ones mentioned, I have no idea would I would cheer for, but it would be one heck of a fight...

As far as the Heavyweights I was thinking more a long the line of Mason v Bowie Tupou and Hoppa v Lawrence Tauasa, I think that would have the desired effect 8)

In light of the above mismatches I would also like to see Adam Vella v Daniel Dawson. I am sick of Vella being in rubbish fights and getting rubbish decisions, so perhaps "The Rock" could take care of business...

Can't wait for Mirovic-Wilson IV. Unfinished business. Four wins proves nothing.

Can't say i've seen 'porky' fight yet, but comparing both records and profiles, i'd say it would be a close bout.... but my money would be on Pittman to win.

I'm not all that familiar yet with other boxers at the moment ... its kinda hard when my hubby watches 'Friday Night Football'. We switch between Channel 9 and FoxSports, but I usually miss most of it anyway with 2 kids to try and get to bed.

Although I have seen Hoppa fight a few times and that is scary to watch.
He just goes in like a madman out to cause GBH!!
No Boxing skills at all IMO.

I was thinking of this one the other day:

Victor Oganoz v Sakio Bika

I think this would be a great fight. Victor needs to step up the competition and Bika has been in with some great fighters of late so I think it would be an awesome battle. Neither man would take a backward step thats for sure.

Your thoughts?

^^^ I can't believe there were no takers for this one!?! I reckon this is a really good fight for everyone involved... Who would be your pick?

This fight would produce fireworks, Id favour Oganoz as Bikas far to easy to hit and would stand and trade with the KO puncher..

Jamie Pitman Vs Any Top Australian SMW Or MW..

Nader Handman, TKO

Shannon Taylor TKO

Bika UD

Sherrington KO for the 2nd time :TU:

Westerman KO

Dawson.. TKO

I think Pitman would have all these guys covered...

Pitman is a good fighter but i would think that Hamden would have to much for him in this fight, Also i think that Bika and Taylor would be favored as well.

Pittman

Post by king_kali_rocks »

I agree with Ben_B8???? (sorry forgot the rest)

Pittman defeats all these guys - Bika is the hardest fight but he has him covered also in my view.

As for Shannon Taylor - he would shut him up once and for all - Marc Bargero beat Taylor, goodness nows what Pittman would do to him.

As for Pittman v Bargero this won't happen as Bargero's trainer knows not to put him anywhere near Bagro - smart move.

Naders great but not in Pittmans class.

Just saw Pittman against Nanakorn and thought he looked pretty good when he was throwing straight punches, he definitely throws out a decent jab, but when he gets away from throwing straight he tends to get a bit 'slappy'. I'm not sure if this is because of his apparent fragile hands (which could be a problem in itself) but it is something to look at. Overall I thought it was a pretty good performance, lest hope bigger things await Jamie...

Oh they also mentioned that he is moving down to middleweight. Any thoughts on why this is? I can't really see more options for him at middle over supermiddle...

i think pittman v soliman woul;d be a good fight
i reckon pittman has a huge future and sam can match it with anyone on his day in this weight class plus i enjoy watchin sam fight
my money would be on pittman to take the step up in this one but
but like alot of people id like to see green v briggs and think briggs would win a close decision
