Decent cards coming up...

Post by Marlin »

What do you guys think about the card for the 27th in QLD? There are a few blokes I am interested to have a look at on there: Topp, Pittman, Haumon, Sherrington, Betham and then the next day in WA Dawson, Kickett and Bryant are all in action. As usual the opposition leaves a bit to be desired but it will be good to see these guys in action...

And at least the QLD card will be televised on Fox.

QLD 27th

It should be a good night Marlin, I can't wait to see Solomon Haumono fight again, his last outing was impressive. Hopefully they will step up the competition for his next bout. I think the circus (Hoppa & Mason) have fights on the same card.
Good luck to all of them.

I'm really interested to see if anyone is going to the fight night in WA on the 28th (think it's in Subiaco). The card isn't televised so I would be really appreciative if anyone is going if they could post the results and their opinions of the fights (particulary the Robbie Bryant fight, as he used to be my trainer).[/quote]

I finally watched the QLD fight card, minus the main event! (I had to get a mate to tape it for me and it seems the tape ran out just as the national anthems were being sung.) I thought it was ok... having Les Mason jiggle his way to a win as the 'semi main event' was ridiculous, but other than that there were a few decent scraps. I will direct more comments on fighters in other threads...

Just a few things I'll throw in here...

If I never see Nicholas Savidis Jnr again it won't worry me to much. I know it was his pro debut but I thought he was very average...

Haumono once again showed he has great potential against terrible opposition. I probably don't need to say that he looked great but needs to step it up, but I did anyway :D I was a bit worried however at how heavy he was breathing after only a couple of rounds. Hopefully he just needs a few more fights to get rid of the lingering ring rust...

Also, will anyone be tuning in next week to see Geale, Waters and 'Deadly' Medley in action???

Anyone going to or watching the fights tonight?

Marc Bargero v Brett Culey 10
Allan Luxford v Junmar Dulog 6
Adam Wills v Ben Burrage 6
Steven Wills v Dean Cambridge 6
William Kickett v Rolando Gerongco 6
Brendan Batty v Frank Droulias 4

I don't have Fox so I won't get to see these ones...
