I"m not certain I see this as a truly competitive matchup. I'd go with Ezzard in a walkaway on points...with a possible KO if Ezz decides he has his man ready. And as usual whenever Ezzard's name comes up I have to evoke Archie Moore's name as well. And in this case I feel the KO would be more certain with Archie leaving Ingo on the canvas with a bit of the nerve dance going on...ala Patterson style.

I don't know how much better Charles as a Heavyweight is than Patterson, but if he takes the fight seriously then he beats Johannson pretty easily. I don't want to dismiss the possibility of Johannson landing something, but I'd say Charles beats him 9 out of 10.

I favour Charles in this fight. I'd say TKO win around round six. I like Ezzards body attacks and more active punc rate.

Ingemmar has some serious power, but I just think Ezzard is to good a fighter to dictate the fight.

Charles TKO Rnd 6.

Charles should win this with a lop-sided points decision or stoppage. Ingo has the power to finish a fight with one shot but I don't think he'd manage it in this one.

I'd take Charles to win, but I think 9 times out of 10 over-estimates the gap between the two at HW.

I think it depends on certain things but assuming Charles is in shape and serious every time I would pick him 9 out of 10.. if he comes into some fights out of focus then I would say the numbers change, but I would pick him to win the majority of the time...

I think Charles would be wary of Johansson's power and would box cautiously for most of the fight, then turn it up in the late rounds and stop him, or if not, take a UD.

Charles- Ingo

I would favour Ezzard more on styles than anything else. Ingo liked a man to come into him where he could maximize his power with the right.
Ezzard as a H.W. was pretty cautious. Old Joe got him though. Ingo could look pretty sloppy if he had to chase a man. I think Ez would make him chase him & this one might turn into a yawner, despite each fighter's
punching power. I like Ez in 10 to 12 rounds when Ingo would start to tire. Ez as a HWT from 47 to 51 would beat Ingo. I am not so sure from 51 to 54. He would lose to Ingo from 54 on. In all accounts I am talking about Johansson of 57-60.
