the most hated boxer of all time???
Youve got it arse about face mate. Humility is a virtue, not something you abandon once you hit the jackpot.Decagon wrote:It's hard to act like a champion when you're not even a contender.Mikee wrote:PBF. I never liked arrogance. nothing to do with his skills, but whats wrong with a bit of danny williams style humility?

I hate to break the news, but the general US public doesn’t know who PBF is either. Boxing fans know who he is, but that’s a frighteningly small percentage of the general population.Loki wrote:Mayweathers only popular in the US. The general European public would not know who he was. Thats not a superstar!!
Bummy Davis caught a lot of grief after banging out the popular Tony Canzoneri at the end of Tonys career.
Davis was often portrayed as a street brawler and a gangster by the press.
Later on he was suspended by the nyac for going nuts in the ring and belting Fritzie Zivic in the balls about twenty times after Zivic thumbed him.
That didnt enhance his rep too much.
Bummy went down swinging years later against some hoodlums defending his buddy whose bar was being robbed.
He was shot multiple times and died.
