HAYE & MACCA= NO CHANCE AT ALL v MORMECK or BELL

I watched Mormeck/Bell II last night, and can safely say that neither Haye or Macca have a snowballs chance in hell of beating either of these hard nuts.

They literally went at it hell for leather for 12 rds, battled through exhaustion and repeatedly took and landed brutal full power shots, the fight was pure world class hard b#stards.

The only time Haye has been in a remotely similar fight was when he was outlasted by domestic/fringe European class 40 yr old Carl Thompson who banged him out, plus down v Lolenga Mock, and a tendancy to look ragged whenever made to work at a pace, i just cant see Haye surviving past 3 or 4 rds.

As for Macca... hes huge bust doesn't use his size. Comes forward and eats punches. He gets bombed out too.

Surely anybody who has watched this awesome fight can see the massive gulf between Mormeck and Bell and our cruisers?

No wonder Haye prefers his chances v big slow cumbersome heavies whilst Warren will keep Macca for the idiots in wales and cling onto the sh#tty WBO belt.

You are all talking about form in the book as opposed to potential.

I think Haye has potential that far outreaches Mormecks, and indeed the heavyweight wannabe Bell.

Project their futures a bit. Consider where they are in their careers.

I think Haye could quite feasibly KO Mormeck, and quite easily outpoint Bell.

The thing is, I'm starting to doubt its even worth talking about

Of course i still believe every word i said. Am i supposed to change my opinion because of the entirely predictable blowout of an inept lump whos only claim to fame was fumbling 9 slow rds with the equally inept Audley Harrison.

Mormeck is a fighter, Bonin is not.

The problem as I see it is Haye making the weight at cruiser and being fit enough to beat Mormek - Haye says he would only be at 70 per cent of fitness but still insists its enough, but I dont think so, but thats just my opinion - I believe if he fought Macca who is a class below Mormeck or Bell he would get stopped - However if he fought Macca at HW I think Haye would win quite comfortably - A fight with Mormeck would be the most risky, so far in his career - Haye belongs up at HW now and dropping back down to CW to fight the recognized champion could be a bad step - Going back to the Carl Thompson fight Haye entered the mile race at sprinting speed and was dead on his feet - Any clean punch would have taken him out and did - I dont think he will do things the same again he has learned from that fight and trains harder and far more seriously now - However stamina at CW is an issue and therefore I would give the Mormeck fight a second thought if I was him - Having said all that he could surprise us all, he has a very good camp who will make sure he is in good shape if the fight comes off - One thing you have to acknowledge with David he doesnt seek easy options and never shys away from the biggest challenges - The Frag fight was a hard one against a very awkward opponent, looking good was impossible - In a fairly short career so far Haye has gathered a lot of experiance through fighting boxers with different styles which has done him a lot of good - At the beginning of his career he believed he could beat anybody and everybody, then he squared off against Thompson and found out he couldnt - He has more respect for other fighters now - Pretty sure someone must have said if Harrison can beat Bonin, you can walk it but he didnt take the fight lightly and trained for the full distance which shows he has matured - He is a very exciting fighter who pulls off wins in a very unpredictable manner and even surprises himself, lets hope he continues in that way - There is nothing like a fight where its hard to pick the winner and it could end in round one or go the distance - Thats how it is with David Haye.

Haye and Macca hit hard enough to have a chance against anyone. Both have questionable defence and chins, but I'd certainly give both at least a 60/40 chance against Bell and Mormeck

I think Overhand is over-egging the pudding a little in regards to Mormeck.

I watched the second fight also, I had the advantage of facing the TV though and Mormeck looked very beatable.

Come on OH admit it, you're jealous because Haye is so damned handsome

I'm the best looking man on this god damn forum. Although strangely don't have the stunning women lining up on myspace like Haye does. His knob must get worn out (Thats where i swoop in)
