Niall Hickman is da man!

Post by Greg Nicholas »

I'm sure he'd have made sure Nigel Benn got a copy of the Hatton book.. to make Benn see Warren in a different light!

So Warren lost his biggest trumpet blower..

The book served its purpose :)

Even if claims were false, Warren deserves to be seen in a worse light :)

Nice one Niall! Great stuff..

OK, what was actually said in the book?? Obviously these claims have been proven false so any post regarding any such accusation need to be taken in that light.........

And he and the publishers were stupid enough to not check the book enough resulting In Warren getting Paid substantial damages due to accusations without proof.
Yet not all boxing books are classics - Ricky Hatton's recent autobiography, written by Niall Hickman, isn't worth the paper it's written on.

It contained so many false accusations about Ricky's dealings with me that I was forced to issue legal proceedings, and I'm delighted that the book is now being pulped and the publishers have agreed to pay me substantial damages.

I have a further five libel claims in the pipeline, and while I don't take much pleasure out of suing people for defamation, it's the only option I have when lazy and poorly researched books libel me.

Too much going on about being Humble was used to fill the pages In that book as he hasn't lived enough to fill a 300 odd page book.

It was Warren's disgraceful treatment of Vince Phillips that turned Benn against him..

Turned Benn against him, what has it got to do with Benn?

Is this the same Vince Phillips who demanded more cash on the day and failed a drugs test, or the same Vince Phillips who couldn't leave the US as he hadn't paid his child support and FW had to pay it for him. Or the same Vince Phillips who had signed to three different Managers and fucked all three.

Sorry I'm confused!

Either way, what's it got to do with Nigel Benn?

Boxingchat. Your wasted at Sports Network. Saddam could have done with you in his trial. He would have walked off with a Nobel Peace Prize if you had done his closing speech.

Benn was the only man in boxing who sung Warren's praises and you just know Hickman made sure Benn got a copy.. masterclass :)

There will be campaigns for ITV to ditch Warren and hopefully Hennessy can step in, I'm looking forward to it..

Don't you think Benn will know that Warren is making more money out of thr book that Hatton or Hickman due to the catalogue of lies throughout. Benn was right you idiot.

The book was libelous so therefore it means Hatton is a liar. What bit of that confuses you you moron.

I'm glad there were lies in there, IF there were lies in there.. that just makes it even better.. Warren deserves it..

And thinking about it, Benn did ALOT for Warren.. in the 4 yrs after he got himself shot he was struggling until Benn decided to employ him.. imagine if Eubank had knocked Benn out cleanly at Old Trafford and Benn went along with Hearn and King, where would Warren be now..?

He blagged his way in ahead of Hennessy, big deal..

I'd much rather watch competitive fights involving Hatton, Witter, Froch, proper world title challengers like Collazo and Corley instead of putting up with Peter Manfredo Jr and Bobby Gunn, and top five WBC and WBA contenders instead of vacant WBU Super Champion intercontinental belts and the like.. proper prospects like Murray and O'Donnell taking on live opponents, fighting for WBC instead of WBO and WBU, and associated with Golden Boy instead of Dean Powell..

Then go watch them.

Warren makes simular match ups domestically, just different belts.

Hatton's only had 2 competitive fights In 2 years, If he had boxed Callazo instead of charging at him like a cornered cat would he of won much easier? He won closely with barely any defence.

Who the fornicate is this idiot.

Benn was not with warren after he got shot you prick. Warren/King and Hearn had a three way split on the result either way. In fact Warren and King were the partners not Hearn so the result benefitted them more than Hearn.

Where would he have been? Hamed, Hatton, Bruno, Collins, Err Eubank, Thompson, Nelson, Robinson, McMillan, Hodkinson. Yep, you're right righty on his arse. Crawl back under your stone you know nothing pratt.

Cool down guys, this thread is on the verge of being locked.

Wishing for a man to die just because you don't like the way he does his business is a way over the top and frankly (no pun) wrong.

Now, I didn't like the bill in Cardiff... I had the chance for a lift and tickets as a present but I said no cause it looked to be a waste of time on paper, and it turned out. Now, I DO think that continued bills like this especially if you include bullshit titles will perminantly damage the sport in this country if continued.... However, I certainly say that Warren has done some things that are good for the game... His benefit nights/charity events are a good touch and has brought some excellent domestic contests since the ITV move (far more than given credit).... but yes, overall I think there have been more "rough" than "smooth". Do I wish the man dead though? Ummm no.

If the tone of the arguement hasn't matured, this thread will be closed.

One idiot doth not a website represent BC. Remember that.

Who is this Greg Nichols?

If you've got it in for Frankie Boy, then I suggest you publish your invective somewhere and take the consequences yourself mate, rather than bringing litigation on this website.

LIES, LIES, LIES.. thats all that ever comes out of sports network..

Barry Hearn and Don King were going into partnership, they promoted Benn/Eubank 2 and employed Warren as a helper.. when it was scored a draw, Eubank and Hearn screwed the Showtime tournamant, and Benn and King joined with Warren.. if not for Benn doing that, Warren would never have had Hamed and Bruno..

Who I respect is down to me and as far as I'm concerned Nelson and you are a long way off. Given your past comments directed at boxers I don't think you are in any position to tell anyone about showing respect.

Now, run along.
