Most referees are pretty stone-faced when being introduced by the MC, although Mills Lane always used to tap the side of his nose and raise two clenched fists, and Richard Steele still seems to break out into that goofy smile each time. Parris on the other hand decides to wipe the top of his head as though a pigeon has just crapped on him.
Why?
(I appreciate there are more important issues around but what the heck).
Why does Dave Parris always wipe his head?

Micky Vann's cheesy grin is the best.
I've often wandered why can't the ref hold the microphone when he's giving his in ring instructions. Surely proffesional fighters are disciplined enough to listen to him, without the ref being forced to hold their hand.
Something bad must have happened the first time a microphone was used for the in ring instructions.
