Well I don't know about you, but I've never seen a fighter knocking out his opponent while his face is flat down on the canvas.... what you been smokin', dude!?lvlarc wrote:Would that be before or after Herbie gets KO'd by a Lewis jab?HeavyHitters wrote:Hides back! Too bad Lewis isn't still around, so Herbie could KO him in one round!!

No way mate. Hide was also punching on the break, the replay clearly proves this, just unfortunately Chingangus punch connected and Hides didn't.
Hide is an extremely dirty fighter, always hits on the break, hits a man when hes down, after the bell. Too bad Big Joe used his own medicine on him! Hide fights so scared i just dont think he can control himself.

Re: Der Herbie
I'm afraid not, Herbie has no chin and no heart... and has made a career out of fighting bums and faded fringe contenders and losing to anyone who manages to land a decent punch upon him... I'd be more excited by a John Ruiz come back!...wouter wrote:Hide makes his return this saturday, fighting the dangerous Jevgenijs Stamburskis in Germany. Does anyone else share my excitement?

Herbie's always fun while he's around but looking at this fight I dunno... his legs looked like they weren't all that great and he's still very raw, but even so, he's a fresh 35. Inactivity has probably hurt him more than being knocked out by the likes of Bowe and Klitschko. Personally I don't think his legs will hold up against the top guys. Haye I think would run right through him.
Video of Hide's latest fight (minus the last two rounds I'm afraid)

[quote="overhand_right"]Whats the big problem then? Hide looked fine to me. Far more nimble than his recent heavyweight excursions. The other guy didnt want to fight so what could Hide do? The fight was tedious though.
Has anyone seen the kayo? Heard varying accounts 'controversial' etc[/quot
The problem is that Hide's got no chin and no heart... he's going nowhere imo...

Thanks Wouter.
Theres no controversy whatsoever there. The guy was in pain and stopped defending himself so Hide bludgeoned him. Thats what happens when you put yourself in that position in a boxing ring.
I preferred Hides boxing style under Mustafa Muhammad and Mike McCallum though. They had him punching in combinations. Hide should of realised after rd 1 that 1 punch at a time was not going to work against this guy, yet there he was in rd 6 still doing the same thing.
Get it together Herbie old boy!

Isn't that why the comeback is a little bit interesting? The chin issue could obviously be related to him fighting big Heavyweights when he is a naturally smaller man and could therefore be negated by his operating at Cruiserweight.silkov wrote:

And the 'no heart' comment is a bit unfounded? He pulled himself up off the canvas enough times against Bowe.
I'm no Hide fan as such but just pointing out some potential inaccuracies.
Sounds like Borat is doing the commentry.wouter wrote:You can see for yourself:overhand_right wrote:Has anyone seen the kayo? Heard varying accounts 'controversial' etc
