Juan McPherson

What happened to Juan McPherson, World Junior champion in Santiago de Cuba in 2002 and Pan Am silver medallist in 2003?
He was one of the US top boxers, then got hurt in his match with Andre Berto in the Olympic qualifiers. I don't think he has turned pro?

ken is right. He has turned pro, but I haven't heard anything about him, yet. He was an amazing amateur, I really hope he gets his career on track managerial and promoter-wise, because he definitely has the skills.

From what I hear it wasn't any problems with the manager or promoter, but more "personal issues" with Juan. He was getting paid well, but wasn't working hard for his paychecks. Maybe he has or will learn that he needs to step up to succeed.
