As much as I'd like to see a boxer win it, I'd be seriously annoyed if Khan got it this year after Calzaghe was snubbed in 2006.

On what basis? The fact he has beaten a string of super-featherweights. So challenging for the Commonwealth title can win your Sports Personality of the year, eh?

It is a bad bunch, and just highlights the lack of success and stars in British sport. Lewis Hamilton has done well, yes, but he has only had three races. Up for Young Sports Personality, certainly.

I think, judging by the candidates, they should hold it over for a year. They should give it to Johnny Wilkinson, his boot was inspirational during the Six Nations, even if we floundered.

Flintoff only hits a wicket or whatever he does In Cricket( I don't watch Cricket so dunno what Freddie does.)

Radcliffe only runs or jogs.

Murray does the Anti English Scot thing.

Rooney just swears.

At least Hatton gives us a war so he derserves to be there.

And this Rose fella, Golf Is not a proper sport Hoodlums swing like a golfer probably In Liverpool's slater street on a Saturday night so it makes It Obsolete as a sport just like Shooting as a sport.

Yeah, but Radcliffe only runs for money. She will always go flat our in the London, New York, Boston, etc marathons but watch her at the Olympics, worlds and she drops out half-way through with some excuse.

Usually because she wont be getting paid for it.

Anyone who gets caught taking a dump in the middle of a sporting event dfeserves the award. Imagine if half way through the fight tomorrow De La Hoya stops the contest, and curls one out in the middle of the ring (so to speak). Win or Lose I think we all know what the lasting memory would be, it'd cement his legacy wouldnt it.

With all due respect Mr Podmore that's total bollocks.

Radcliffe won the World Gold in 2005 and Commonwealth in 2002.

Check out her Wikipedia entry, not the record of someone who runs only for money.

The fact that she has actually made herself quite wealthy because she is so bloody good is to her credit!
