Fighters in those days were busier, they had to be they didnt get the huge amounts boxers get today - By the time they hit their 30s they were past their peak and some had banked enough money and were doing other things - As you point out Bugner had fought 3 times the number of fights Haye has at the same age - Heavyweights should be able to go on longer than the lighter men and keeping at the same pace Haye should be fighting for another 10 to 12 years - Doubt he will want to once he has made the really big money and if he acheives all of his ambitions as a fighter - By the way big Matt was 38 four years ago and yes I know they claim he is only 40 but the simple truth is we dont really know HOW OLD he is - At the time Malony said "I have his birth certificate in my pocket" even then there were questions being asked about his age - It has to be the promised title shot this year or never.

wow! i'm 46 and i'm going to get back into training. in 6 months i reckon i could be under 20 stone and after a couple of warm up fights (danny's on the slide, i'll knock him out) i'll be ready for sprott or audley, then i'll take on matt skelton and i'll be champion at fifty. all i have to do is avoid david haye.
