Believe it or not sex is not the answer with this case.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:Easy go round bone her, wait till she nods off go back and watch the boxing. Alternitvely doggystyle while watching the boxing - would that count a being gay though
Seriously shes just game playing and seeking attention

To me its easy, if she is a girlfriend that could at sometime become your partner, she has to know the score now - You have your life and things you have to do and at the same time she has hers - So its "sorry but I follow boxing and this is a vital fight I must see" - Start as you mean to go on or suffer later - If on the other hand she is just a girl who you like to spend time with when you can - Its basically the same message and if she doesnt like it, tough and move on, if she wants to be bitchy - Dont let them run your life or it wont be a life - I dont think its good doing everything together, you need your own pursuits - Things will come up that conflict but both sides have to be understanding, its all give and take.

He's not choosing boxing over her. He is choosing a superfight over her FOR ONE NIGHT. This gal needs to get some perspective.
You know, if she hadnt thrown the toys out of the pram, and instead had shown a little respect for what OR wants to do, he would be praising her to his mates and be more smitten than ever. [/i]

Personally I'd just be thankful that you havent married her!!...overhand_right wrote:Okay so last night am laid face down in bed in a pool of my own drool when at 0317AM my drunken stupor is rudely disturbed by the worst text imaginable.
As you might guess, i intend to watch De La Hoya/Mayweather above all else on saturday night.
this is it word for word:
"Hey you. stupid of me to say this but feeling upset right because i had planned this weekend to be wid u 4 ages as we met a YEAR this weekend but obviously u find watching sports more important than seeing me which means u dont give a toss about this relationship. sorry but this just says it all at this point - u dont really care, wuda been a different matter if i saw u regularly, i wudnt mind. but its been a month and the date we was meant to c each other youd rather watch boxing. sorry (name of affection witheld...) but i cant carry on like this anymore. u are meant to be my boyfriend who loves me x"
TYPICAL F#CKING WOMAN ATTITUDE.
Now 9:11 AM and i am yet to reply.
How exactly do you convey to a brain dead woman whos lone passion in life is grooming herself the magnitude of De La Hoya/Mayweather?![]()
I would rather roll over my own grandmother in a landrover than miss this fight.
Sh#t the bed lads, what is the smartest way to play this? Im assuming putting boxing above all other social activities and responsibilities must of also landed you in similar sh#tty circumstances over the years? Otherwise im a lone freak!
...reminds me of the time when I went to a freinds birthday party and met a lovely woman there... got on very well with her... ended up taking her home where we continued to get on very well.... trouble is this was the night of Bruno vs Mccall which was screening late I think... round about 1.00 am I mentioned that I wanted to watch the Bruno fight... her reaction was akin to me admitting to being a madaxe murderer with ten bodies hidden in my bedroom!...
...obviously wasnt a boxing fan!...

The moral to this story is I do occasionally think back to that night and think that I must have been nuts!... :xsilkov wrote:Personally I'd just be thankful that you havent married her!!...overhand_right wrote:Okay so last night am laid face down in bed in a pool of my own drool when at 0317AM my drunken stupor is rudely disturbed by the worst text imaginable.

Send her flowers -- almost always works. Possibley top up with another little gift if needed.overhand_right wrote:Okay so last night am laid face down in bed in a pool of my own drool when at 0317AM my drunken stupor is rudely disturbed by the worst text imaginable.

And book a place in a restaurant for the next evening (don't tell which one -- ladies like surprises). Or the evening before, and say that you want to celebrate into your aniverary.

Christ, thats a bit extreme, buy some chips and let her have a dip in the bagGoz wrote:Emmas right. I think the only way round it is to call her, tell her you really want to see this fight but that you will make it up to her and take her out on Sunday or next week and lay it on big time.
I mean flowers, cheeky little present, nice restaurant, romance in the extreme.

Bit off the topic -- but I'm guessing you weren't dating her for the silky literary style of her love notes? Ah well, at least she didn't call u a fuken fagget bro, dat wuda ben tuf 2 deal wif.overhand_right wrote:this is it word for word:

Makes your crotch hurt, too...or so I'm told.Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:I was spiked with rohypnol once in a club, it gives you the shits, you know.
i remember a similar occasion when i was determined to give a fairly steady bird the elbow. it had to be that night as she was getting too heavy and i wasnt having any of it. it was after midnight and we were lying in bed having just finished the usual business and i was trying to summon up the courage to tell her the bad news, problem was there was a nigel benn fight due to come on the telly in about half an hour. if i kick her into touch before the fight i'd have to leave her house and get back home which was about an hour away - i'd miss the fight!!!
so i sensibly did a bit of wooing about ten minutes before benn and she was down there like a good 'un giving my knackers a wet one at which she was extremely adept. it didnt take long for either nigel nor me to finish our respective jobs.

another incident puts a slightly different twist on it. a friend of mine who was not at all interested in boxing, nearly had a night of passion with jane couch, our finest female pugilist.
after a bit of verbal sparring in the pub, he and jane left to start the preliminaries. this was ok, apparantly, but then he wanted to move on to the main event only to be disappointed when jane turned on the telly and was glued to a re-run of jim mcdonnells heroic failure to overcome the african legend azumah nelson. my mate left before the end of the first round.
you see, it cuts both ways.
